Would've given 5 stars but the original showed up missing the charging port. Had to bring it in and exchange it.

The value and ease with which I was able to get this hard drive was really unparalleled. I much prefer going to an actual store and picking it up from real humans than ordering from a global online retail consolidator (name withheld but quite obvious).

I keep this SSD plugged in to my MacBook Pro 14" M1 as my 'portable' Photo library (vs using the internal SSD) and after reading a few reviews about latency issues with some of the SanDisk SSDs that other users attempted to use for these kinds of dynamic applications I had some concerns but for my

So far so good it's working excellent and I'm loving how quickly it copies files to and from a computer. I will never buy another HDD external hard drive again. From now on out it's an SSD drive because these are clearly the future of hard drives going forward.

This is an amazing hard drive for video creators and other people that need quick access and ability to back up media.

the best SDD in market. Never thought 4 TB could be carried like this. So portable ..happy :)

If I could give it 0 stars, I would. Do not buy this SSD if you value your time. I have wasted a whole week trying to copy files into this SSD. It artificially inflates your files and makes a 250 GB file transfer take up ~3 TB. I found other folks reporting this type of issues without any real solution. Likely to be a hardware malfunction. I recommend buying an SSD from a better company like Samsung. I'm returning my SanDisk SSD at this moment.

Here’s a longer, still genuine-sounding review: I’ve been using the SanDisk Extreme SSD regularly and it’s been extremely reliable. The transfer speeds are consistently fast, even with large video files and heavy workloads, and I’ve never had issues with disconnects or corrupted data. It’s compact, lightweight, and the rugged rubberized design makes it feel safe to travel with. I’ve used it on multiple shoots and on the road without worrying about damage. Plug-and-play works flawlessly on both Mac and Windows. Overall, it’s a solid, professional-grade SSD that delivers exactly what it promises and feels worth the investment.

after using a plug in external hard drive for years as the back up of my Apple MacBookPro for the Time Machine backups, I decided to move into the 21st century with a SSD external hard drive. The difference is night and day. The drive is beautiful, compact, and FAST. What used to take truly an hour or more for an incremental backup (using run Time Machine about once a week), the first backup with the SanDisk was done in 10 minutes. And the drive was on a fantastic sale!

Very nice, compact external hard-drive. Works well, no issues, price was a bit steep, but it seems to be working well in storing a lot of data off my computer. No complaints thus far in terms of quality.

Okay, so I got this SanDisk 4TB portable SSD and it's pretty awesome. First off, it's really small and sleek, which I love. It's black, looks cool, and feels sturdy enough that I'm not worried about it getting banged up in my bag. The best part? This thing is fast. Like, really fast. I've been moving huge files around and it doesn’t even blink. It's got a ton of space too – 4TB is more than enough for all my stuff. I've got loads of photos and videos and there's still plenty of room left. Hooking it up is a breeze. It comes with a USB-C thingy and it worked straight away with my laptop and even my phone. Didn’t need to mess around with any settings or software, which is a huge plus for me. About the price, yeah, it’s not cheap, but you're getting a lot of storage and the speed is worth it, in my opinion. In short, if you need a lot of storage on the go and hate waiting for files to transfer, this SanDisk SSD is a solid buy. I’m pretty happy with it.

I loveee this hard drive! As a photographer I needed something that was beefy, and this thing is it! I went from a Lacie, and the difference in size alone is crazy. This one is so much smaller, and quicker! I was shocked how small it was. Perfect for transporting!
