The SanDisk 4TB SSD offers fast read/write speeds, ideal for video editing, gaming, and large file transfers. Its 4TB capacity provides plenty of space for extensive media libraries or software installations. Built to withstand shocks, it's reliable for portable use. While more expensive than traditional hard drives, it remains a top choice for those needing high-speed, high-capacity storage. Perfect for content creators, gamers, and professionals.

I loved theses SSD's! This is my 3rd one that I personally own and I back up alot of photos and videos every month.
Fast, reliable and also very small to carry with me especially when I travel for my business.
I have the best peace of mind knowing that my clients photos and videos are safe

Drive works as expected. Size is perfect. Speed is great. The cord that comes with it is extremely short. Other than that, there are no issues. I will buy this one again!

Works great -- easy and quick to use when I needed to transfer all the data from a failing PC. I captured everything I needed/wanted with no problems. Since then, I've purchased a second drive -- to have on hand for data storage. Easy to carry with me.

If someone asks me which one to chose if they need an external hard drive, i would first suggest the Sandisk external SSD. The device is almost the size of a credit card and the time it took to backup my 3tb of hard disk data is 150 mins at a write speed of around 1/2 gbps.

Extremely fast drive with good reliability. I like the 4TB capacity on mine and its good to use if you need to free up space on your local disk. It is a little pricey when you go for higher storage levels, but it is well worth the price. I use it on my 14inch MacBook Pro and have had no issues.

I want to love these drives. They're fast, tiny, silent, and the price is right. But after my first couple months with two of these 4TB's, I would never buy a Sandisk again.
I bought them specifically as shuttle drives for video shoots, and have also used them as edit drives with Premiere Pro. Maybe the third time I transferred with them, I had a strange experience where one of them simply unmounted from my laptop (14" MacBook M1 Pro). Didn't think much of it, chalked it up as maybe I jiggled a cable or something. A few weeks later, I came back from lunch and my Premiere project had crashed. Again, didn't think much of it, happens all the time. This week however, the real nightmare happened. Premiere crashed right in the middle of some very time consuming work, and the drive suddenly lost write access. I had to cycle it a few times for it to even come back online.
Now having done and excessive amount of research, I see the rumblings on Reddit and elsewhere that these issues are not at all uncommon with these drives, and there's even a lawsuit about people losing their data. There's no way I would trust it with even low priority material after a failure like mine, and to see it so widespread is incredibly disheartening.
For context, I'm a full time film editor and do small video projects in my spare time. I immediately formatted both these drives in APFS for working on my Macs, and only ever used the included cables. There is no reason why they should be failing this soon aside from a defect.
Now of course I'm passed the return period for Best Buy, so it'll be a good test of the supposed 5 year warranty to see what happens next. I've since moved my project to a Samsung T7 and have had no issues the last few days. Can't give that one a glowing review just yet since it's early days, but it's definitely just as fast and portable, and runs noticeably cooler.
Steer clear of these Sandisks and look at other brands.

This is an awesome small 4tb external hard drive, the only thing I noticed is that it gets very warm when using for long periods of time. My concern is overheating and potentially corrupting the data.
