I have used an external hard drive from a well known legacy maker of such devices for many years, ever since Apple discontinued their Time Capsule, a WiFi tower that would automatically do a back up of your hard drive. So once a week or so, I would plug in the tiny little box, about the size of a deck of playing cards. And come back in an hour or so, when the back up was completed. Only when I got an error message from my MacBookPro that the external hard drive had errors did I search for a replacement. And had the technology changed. What used to take truly over an hour, just for an incremental back up, will be finished in a few minutes or less. And the drive is smaller, and extremely rugged. Although it will probably never leave my desk drawer, it will stand up to shock, drops, water, etc. My only regret is the hours wasted. I would often plug the drive in as I was going to bed, and return the next morning. I was so pleased, I bought a second one, for my wife's computer! A different model, slightly smaller, different color, to keep them easily identified.

This thing is fast! Like really fast! I was using a WD My Passport Ultra with USB 3.0, and I have over 200GB of data. It took quite some time to move data to and from the external drive to a 14inch MacBook Pro, but, when I connected the SanDisk Extreme Pro and moved over 200GB of data to the MacBook Pro (after wiping the MacBook Pro with a fresh install of MacOS), I was able to move that data (with parallel read/writes from that drive to the target) in 8-10 minutes. Like I said this thing is fast. I love the rugged design and am very happy with my purchase. Slight warning, but understandably so, this drive gets warm..pretty quickly.

Must have for film makers, videographers, and media prophets. Loads of data storage, fast transfer.

This is the best and most reliable SSD I have. The datarate is amazing and reliability of Sandisk drives is at another level. I would highly recomment these drives. Already have 3 more this time wanted to roll in TBs so went for 4TB

It is fast and small. I do a lot of GoPro videos that are 50 to 80 gig each and needed to move them on and off my computer for more space. Time is the biggest factor for me. I ran out of hard drive space while I was on vacation, and this got me out of a jam quickly!

Love this hard drive. I’ve always used the LaCie hard drives (which I still love) but the size of this one is much better. I’m an editor and fill up hard drives quickly and so far I’ve used over half storage on this one and it’s still working quickly!

This is the best sandisk extreme pro to be honest it’s lot Easy to transfer files it’s best for photographers videographer those who have computer you can use as back up storage. I would Recommend everything it’s quick to transfer file videos makes easier fast definitely love it

this thing is FAST fast. I had no idea they made them this fast tbh. it's also extremely small. The cable it comes with is super short just FYI but hey at least it's included.

Fantastic hard drive, I use multiple versions of this drive based on the content delivery I have to make. If you have retainer clients that are not local. This drive x2 is the way to go to keep your delivery workflow from being slowed down by digital uploading/downloading
