My wife had 18,000 photos on her iPhone and was worried about losing them. My iPhone died and I was unable to transfer my photos to my new iPhone. This SanDisk flash drive worked easily to download all her pictures, allowing her to delete photos to make room on her phone while giving her piece of mind about saving her photos. I bought a different brand online and although it worked, it stored my photos in a completely random order. I have to say that the SanDisk cost a bit more, but is well worth it.

First: this item does NOT work as-is for backing up anything but photos, videos, and contacts. I purchased this because the description, and a question answered by a SanDisk team member, said that it could also be used to backup documents (like PDFs or Word files). IT CAN NO LONGER DO THIS. After purchasing this to copy files to/from my iPad, I spent hours trying to find out how, only to discover that this feature was part of an app (iXpand Drive) which has been discontinued and replaced with one that ONLY allows copying of photos, videos, and contacts (SanDisk Memory Zone). Thankfully, I had great luck with the Geek Squad agent at my local store, who discovered that it is possible with the purchase of an adapter (Lightning to USB). I can plug the USB end of this drive into the adapter, and the Lightning end into my iPad, and THEN my "Files" app recognizes it as another drive and allows me to copy/back-up these other files. Hopefully, someone will update the product description to show this change (or even better, bring back the ability to do it without an extra adapter!) That being said, I AM pleased with the device itself. I needed a way to free up space on my iPad (files from the Procreate drawing app can take up a LOT of space), and this was exactly what I needed. Once I got the adapter, copying files is a breeze, and I can transfer files between my iPad and computer without any further hassle. I do NOT know why they would have taken away this ability with the new app, but if not for the Geek Squad agent who helped me, I would have simply returned this. I definitely recommend it, but if you want it for anything other than photo gallery and contacts, you WILL need an adapter. (This is the only reason I took away a star.)

This is a great product as you don’t have to do anything but attach it to your device. The device will identify it and prompt you with the next steps to take. The interface it gives you is easy and quick to understand and use. It’s a great way to be sure you don’t lose importance data from your devices.

Great for traveling with school projects and for taking your backtracks on the go for shows! I highly recommend for audio engineering students to have as well! No doubt in my mind about this one.

Amazing! I was able to save photos & videos and remove everything from my phone so I can take even more pictures!! Easy to use, quick and convenient.. Also small enough to store in my Jean pocket or throw it in my pocketbook! I even bought one for my daughter. LOVE IT!

Great product. Easy to install and download pics and videos. Bought a second one for my son. Very portable.

Its great timo have something on my keychain that has a lightning connector that save data. If my phone gets full i plug it in and done. Of if i need to print something or watch something on a screen, i can take off of my keychain and plug it in to my phone and then usb driver. I like the password protected vault too.

This product is awesome. I just plugged it into my phone and followed the easy steps. It also has the option to delete all the photos after you save them. It backs up your phone and clears space on your phone. I recommend this product to anyone who needs to clear space on their phone. It is smaller in size than my last flash drive but it works well.

So convenient! Hook the USB flash drive to my iPhone and right away “after you download the app” and right away it’ll start downloading the photos really fast. saves a lot of space on my phone because I had over 16,000 YUP! Over 16,000 photos including videos. The ones that I seen that was a duplicate all I had to do was then take the flash drive and connect it to my USB drive on my Dell laptop and remove the duplicate pictures from there. AWESOME!

Super easy to use saves alot of space in the phone must have

I had high hopes for this. It really looked like a cool device. I got it home i open the cardboard sleeve thing it was in I looked at it for a while cause it looked cool. I noticed on the side of it that it had come apart at one point in its life time. But hey it still works. It just won’t last as long maybe. But anyway it’s still cool I’m still trying to use it. The thing stops me a lot and says something went wrong try again. This happens very often with this item. I asked a bestbuy person he said yeah it’s very common in a Sandisk to do that. So I went home kept trying worked on and off I was happy when it did work. I did have have to download a app to use it though. It doesn’t delete when copied over for some reason. It only gives the option to skip files that are already written or overwrite. So I’m constantly back tracking to delete the ones that I have copied. I really would of liked a delete option when copied. But all in all it’s pretty cool little device. Two stars because it loses connection every time I’m trying to use it. And it had been damaged in the shell out of the cardboard sleeve. Other than that it’s the lack of options such as having a delete items after copied. It doesn’t have that. And the hassle of backtracking to delete items that have been copied.

Yes its pricey but it’s worth it . I have about 4,000 pictures from several trips through out the years on my phone. Friends and family too. I recommend it to the people who love taking photos on there phone. It took 10 minutes to backup all my photos.

The ScadDisk -Xpand 128GB is just plain awesome. It works with my iPhone like a charm. The interface on the phone is simple and loads super fast. It works super fast too, Hence the number of videos I shoot with my family every week, this device is quite a life-safer. Another thing I like about it is that it feels solid and there are "no moving parts". While it is small, the "hole" on the top allows you to attach it to a keychain or to a lanyard. Do it, otherwise, you will lose it :-)
