Great for cameras, terrible to use as an ID.

I went out with a group of friends to celebrate my cousins 23rd birthday. Like normal, we ate and imbibed on quality drinks. We brought along our HD video camera that could record in 1080p. We filmed our adventures as we galavanted around the town. This SanDisk card gave us plenty of recording time, and we had no worries about getting jitters or dropping frames. We ended up at an extremely wonderful taco shop and my cousin ordered another margarita. Our waitress asked for his ID, and it was very loud in this taco shop. He asked "what?!" My brother said, "you just got carded!" "Oh!" my cousin responded, and handed her the SanDisk 64 GB card. With a confused look on her face, she asked, "what's this? I need your ID." And with a laugh, my cousin pointed toward the bold white letters scrolled across the face of the card, and said, "that's my card, it says I'm 64!" We all broke into a huge bout of laughter and was immediately thrown out and roughed up by security for public intoxication. Bloodied and bruised, we called our cab and headed home. So the 64 GB SanDisk memory card is great for cameras but terrible to use as identification.

It was our fault for forgetting to order one before a video shoot. Ran there during lunch break, the SD card I normally get was out of stock, and this one was on sale for the same price so I went for it. While filming no issues. As soon as I pulled it out of the camera it freaked out. Wanted me to reformat it and said everything was corrupted. Put it back into the camera, corrupted. Tried other computers, corrupted. Eventually I went into a terminal and figured out how to get the data off of it and saved all the data on there. Then I reformatted it, and put it into a regular camera. Tested it once or twice with no issues. Then I took about 50 pictures. Same thing happened again. Maybe I got a lemon, but I won't buy this brand again because of it. Sadly the packaging is no where to be found, so I can't return it.

    Write speed is horrendous

While this card advertises 40 MB/s data transfer rate, that number only applies to READ speed. Write speed, as stated absolutely no where on the Internet, is around 10 MB/s. (I was able to find this number after testing the speed with Blackmagic Disk Speed Test.) A speed around that is nowhere near adequate for video shooting. I attempted to pop it in a Canon C100, failed to record. Then tried in a GH2, also told me the transfer rate was not sufficient. I would only recommend this card for Photography.

The Dell computer I purchased is a fine computer. However the Microsoft Office software I purchased came up with an alert with Microsoft saying or their representatives saying my network was infected. However while owning these computers (always purchased from Best Buy) I also have had Web-Root Security continually installed on any computer I have and my Verizon Fios (now named Frontier). I have a lot questions about how they (Microsoft) can offer to fix the computer(brand new) for a substantial amount of money($999.99 lifetime support). Too many questions about these events? Confused customer?

I bought these because of the low price and fast (relative) speed. They are class 10, which is fast enough for my camera. It doesnt shoot 4k video and is only 18MP. These work great each and every time without fail. The price was good for a brick and mortar store. Sandisk quality means I dont worry if the card will work when I need it. I bought two and switch them out each time so I'm not using the same one constantly. I also have a couple other backup cars, but these are my main cards in my canon and they work perfectly.

Needed to replace disk that had reached capacity for photos. There was a new product for a substitute. The only difference seemed to be that the positive and negative markings were inverted from the markings on the previous one. So where the plus and minus marks had faced outward, it now faced inward. Seemed pretty weird, actually, so I went according to where the copper strips were placed, and it worked. Really stupid of the manufacturer, though, because reversing polarity can damage camera and disk. Damned careless, IMO

My friend made a great suggestion to me; he buys several memory cards and uses them for his trips. The prices are so reasonable now that he does not reformat them but instead notes what trip they were for and sets them in a safe place. In case he loses all the photos online, in the cloud or on his backup, he still has his original disk to go back to for the photos. I like that this card is so large that even in a large format you will not run out of space. I took over 2000 pics on mine and there is still room for more including video.

I have just bought a Nikon-Coolpix S9700 and I needed memory for it. Considering how expensive memory cards are, I was looking for something that was budget friendly. I have bought more expensive memory cards in the past for video recorders and the such. However, I am not a professional photographer nor do I work in an environment where every MB/s is crucial, and to me the SanDisk has performed equally to them. If there is a difference I cannot tell. Therefore, and especially since I bought it on sale, I am very happy with the SanDisk Memory Card purchase .

Purchased this card as the Best Buy representative picked it out informing that it was compatible with my new Sony Camcorder which I purchased at the same time. Unfortunately I needed the MicroSD card. Although that meant I had to go back to the store, I wasn't too upset as I thought I could use with it my DSLR. This product provides a lot of space for pictures; however it does not work with video recording for the Nikon D90. Lesson learned to not trust the salesperson. If compatible, I am sure you will be happy.

Three years ago I purchased a new camera before a vacation to Europe. I purchased a 32 MB version of this memory card. While I had been downloading my high resolution photos to my PC from the disk for 3 years, I never deleted any of the photos or videos from the disk. Since my hard drive had not been backed up before departing for summer vacation, I did not want to delete everything from the 32 MB disk, so I purchased the 64 MB disk. It will probably last me forever!

I would like to preface this short review by saying for the average user this is the only card you will ever need as long as you are taking less than 500 pics between uploading to a PC or Mac. The card write speed is respectable , the read speed is the problem if you have a large amount of data to upload , I really do think this is a great card to buy , but be sure to reformat card in camera often to improve the data transfer times .

I bought this for two purposes: 1) migrate a PS3 drive, and 2) provide more image space for a long trip. This card did both jobs well. I picked it up on sale, so I got a sub $1/GB price. The card is a little slow. Not a big deal for my use, but it would be painful on a larger SLR camera. The Sony camera I used (DSC WX9) had to format the drive twice, but I have had no issues since then. I took 800 images and 3 videos > 10 minutes each, and had zero errors. This is a good buy at the right price.

I have a Canon SX710HS and used this card at my local Air Force Airshow and I had zero problems with pics or video, even with rapid picture shots. It also uploaded to my iMac very quickly! I am an amateur but have No complaints with this card. I bought it because it seemed to be high speed and since I am not very knowledgeable about using my camera, the reviews seemed to say it was really good and it was also on sale at about a 1/3 the regular price

I bought this SD card to use with Raspberry Pi. It was not in the list of tested SD cards, but I quickly needed a 64GB SD card to store image data. It installed Raspbian Wheezy on it and have no problems. Formatting takes a while but since it 64GB that is to be expected. Also since it is class 10 it is really quick reading and writing.

I've used this for a little while with no problems. It's kinda' hard to define quality by something that *doesn't* happen, but suffice it to say that there is nothing negative to report. 64MB is a generous amount of storage and will provide north of 3,000 24MB still photos. Cards are cheap enough now that you can just fill them up and keep them as your backups.

Haven't issues with my camera locking up a couple of times when using this card. The shutter locks up and the camera appears that it is attempting to write to the card. Only has happened twice out the 6000 shots so could be the camera. A friend mentioned that he gets white pics on a couple of occasions using the same card. Other than that, if you need a spare or back up this card will work. Less price than the non best buy version of the memory card.

I give it 5 stars for the performance it gives me in my cannon T6i fast and top quality shots stored in a heartbeat, The only downside is that you pay for 64-gigs but really it's only 59-gigs and I'm still asking the question what is the other 5-gigs used for, cause file set-up will never use that much space!!!! But performance wise top marks that's what the 5stars are for Trust me you want the best, this is it in a nutshell

About 1 year ago with the help of the Warwick, R.I. store employees I was able to purchase the greatest camera. An Olympus camera that I can carry in my purse go under water with. With special events coming up this summer I wanted an extra battery and charger I could plug in to house current and an extra disc to store pics on. Again the salespeople in your Warwick store were so helpful. Looking to return soon for a new flat screen TV.

First SD for the Canon T6i. Have since upgraded to a 64 GB U3 90mb/s of the same brand. Didn't notice much of a difference other than the U3 90 mb/s Pixtor was a bit faster. Not sure if it made much of a difference in picture or video quality. This SD is well worth the price for quality and use if you are considering a more expensive option. Not sure you will notice much of a difference in comparison with respect to price.
