I have bought 10+ of these drives, whenever someone has an older laptop that needs a speedboost on the cheap. I have bought PNY drives in the past but I trust sandisk quality over PNY. I have not benchmarked them but they are cheaper and build quality is lower than the samsung evo drives but speeds appear to still be pretty quick. These are all plastic versus samsung which is aluminum. If you need something that is cheap and still a decent brand, look no further.

I have always loved SanDisk products. This SSD is so easy to install. Read and write speeds are extremely fast!

When all you want is cheap then a 120GB SSD (if large enough for your needs) will do the job. Not for old Macs with nvidia HD controllers. But fine for newer Macs and almost all PCs that use SATA HDs. Will speed everything up dramatically.

I’m using this ssd to boot Windows, it loads super fast and gets the job done, it’s also really cheap for an ssd

This was a replacement for a SSD from another manufacturer which failed in under a year. I've used SanDisk drives for a number of years, and they've always been very reliable with great performance. These are great upgrade for older laptops or desktops with mechanical drives; the performance boost is almost as good as buying a new machine in many instances, particularly with casual use (web browsing, email, typing papers, etc).

My hard drive died on my computer and it was recommended by the Geek Squad that I replace it since my computer is built like a tank or is tougher than the new ones made now. My old hard drive was slow but even though this one is only 120 GB it is much faster than the 1TB it replaced.

Be sure of your storage requirements before you buy an SSD this small. That's not a complaint; just something you should keep in mind when making up your mind. Note that this SSD will not work properly with older Macs that use the Nvidia HD controller. That controller -requires- a 3GB interface and this SSD has a 6GB interface; therefore, due to the Nvidia chip in the Mac, the SSD will only work at 1.5GB speed. All Sandisk SSDs exhibit this issue; use Samsung or PNY or OWC brands for those machines.

I build alot of PC's on the side and this is usually my go-to SSD for price-to-performance builds. This drive offers higher read/write speeds as compared to other SSD's at this price point and it's a proven reliable brand. Just throw the operating system on this, add an additional 1TB+ hard disk drive for storage, then you're good to go!

Replaced a conventional hard drive in a dell i7 and it now runs lightning fast. Not for storing large amounts of data but will run your OS at breakneck speed.

I bought this at the recommendation of a friend who is a computer tech. My 10 year old laptop was running very slow and I contacted him for recommendations on a new laptop. He suggested I buy this instead. Not only did it increase the storage space, but it increased the speed of my laptop.

Honestly every SSD at this point has matured tot he point that theres no issues with most of them. This one performs similarly to my aging samsung 850 evo. Since its SATA it hits the limits of the sata bus and thats about it. I would recommend getting a bigger capacity if you can, but if not, this one works wonders for the price.

This SSD is BLAZING fast as a boot drive for any program. However, do NOT use it to write files on to. Speed test was showing 450mbps constant during read. Only 45mbps per write.
