Did not realize it was formatted for Mac. Had to look up how to reformat for PC.

Got this to use as a Time Machine drive when my MacBook developed issues and I needed to restore it. I've been using this drive since and it's great. The only issue is that it does not always work when I connect it to my thunderbolt dock so I end up plugging it into my MacBook. It's not a huge deal, but instead of one cable I have to plug in two.

Perfect match for the job: cleaning everything off of my iMac and reloading it.

We really like this unit. Works as advertised. I would recommend it.

This San-Disk G Armor External SSD is great. I bought to supplement storage in my laptop. The product is fair easy to install just got to drives set up partition for new drive plug into USB-C works very high speed. I recommend this product. Also it’s very durable with metal and rubber casing.

Seems like a very good little bus powered drive, but as I can't judge its longevity I'm only giving it 4 stars. I've always had excellent experiences with SanDisk products, so I expect this drive to last a long time. I like the rubber protection casing around it as the drive is fairly small and thin, and could potentially be dropped easily. I got this drive to use as a backup clone drive for two different computers, which is why I got the 2 TB version. It was no problem at all to use with a Mac OS. I used the Mac Disk Utility to create the two partitions, and then used Carbon Copy Cloner to do the backups. It seems pretty fast, and I'm very happy with it thus far.

This drive did not show up as a disk in my PCs( I tried many so i'm sure it's the problem of the drive). I searched online and realized that I need a sofware called G-Technology Format Wizard to format it first. Windows default Disk management cannot format it. Posts online said the sofware pops up automatically when the the drive is connected, but mine did not. I found the website, but the software could not be downloaded by Chrome. I switched to Edge and it was warned as virus( it is from their official website). I ignored the warning and downloaded then installed it. It finally formatted the drive. Looks like everyone else have this software automatically installed. Hope this post can help those had the same problem.

Use this for my file storage. It’s great for the price but I feel like it deleted some files randomly. May have been user error.

This plug and play SSD drive is easy to use, very fast, and highly portable. I used it to move the contents of my older PC to a new desktop PC, and it was quite fast, and plug and play on both devices.

Looks well built and seems to compare well with lacie rugged drives. Not the fastest drive though, not the slowest either, just alright. It got the work done.
