Just had to get another one

This is my second Fuze. Apparently someone liked my first Fuze as much as I did and decided to take it home with them. :-| After just a few days without it and trying to use other players I found this great deal on a refurb Fuze through bb. The black gloss looks beautiful but the plastic screen does scratch pretty easily so I use and recommend a case. A DLO Action Jacket was perfect for my ways and it has protected my Fuze very well ever since. Audio is the Fuze's great strength. With support for the common audio types + Ogg and FLAC, it plays everything I have. ReplayGain rounds out it's audio offering to automatically balance the volume of different tracks. Personally, I also use the FM tuner a ton as I like the human factor of hearing DJ chatter and getting local news and weather mixed in with my music most of the day. But, when the radio signal is weak, I'm working out, or I'm just in the mood for a constant or specific jam, the Fuze delivers on all fronts. Battery life has exceeded my expectations -- I can usually get several days of practical usage, about 8 hours a day, out of a single charge. The Fuze plays video too but it's not it's strong point. Videos have to be converted to Fuze's format using the Sansa Media Conversion software which is fine, but it lowers the frame rate to something like 15fps. It's good enough for playing recorded TV episodes and videos for my young kids though.

Replaced my Creative Zen with this one

I had a Creative Zen for a few years until the display died. Started look at players and this one caught my eye with the features. Like the price of the refurbished unit, along with the features and capabilities. I love the fact that I can expand the 8G capacity by adding a microSD card. Really liked the fact that it will accept up to a 32G microSD card. The battery life seems to be really good. I only have to recharge about every 2-3 days depending on how long I have listened to music. That is with the volume maxxed out (feeding into my stereo at work). The radio reception was very suprisingly good also.

My first MP3 and I love it!

This is my first MP3 and it is easily the most used electronic device that I have. I bought my 8 MG Sanza Fuze last March and I have been using it almost every day ever since. I use it to download my favorite radio show. Each show is about 2 hours long and I have downloaded 80 to 100 of them so far using both the internal and external disk . I would recommend buying at least 1 external disk to expand your storage but it is not needed. I take it everywhere with me. I have not as yet downloaded any videos or music so I don't know much about that part of it. I especially like that I can use the Micro Sandisk to add additional space as I need it. I have no problem with the sound. It comes over loud and clear. I also have an external portable speaker to connect it to when there are more than just me listening. It seems to me that the battery charge lasts a good period of time and it only takes maybe 30 minutes to recharge fully. I have no problems with it and I have been recommending it to all my friends.

Factory Refurbished. Just as good as new.

I had previously owned the older Sandisk before the Fuze. I had it for a good 3 years with little problems, a very durable piece of equipment, but ended up losing it. So I decided to upgrade and buy the newer one with more space. At first I wasn't sure if 8gb would be enough room for me. But so far it has been able to fit 500 songs and over 15 short videos on this thing. I am very careful with this device so I cannot say how durable if really is. So far its running very well. The only con to this device I have is that there are folders in the Sansa that do not show up when you sync it to the Rhapsody program on your computer. I would like to put my audiobooks on it, but I don't want the audiobooks to mix with my music, sadly the folder for audiobooks does not show up so I don't know how to place the files into that folder. Maybe someone else already knows how to do this. But otherwise this product is wonderful, the video quality is great for my stuff, and the audio is also very good. The battery life is shorter than the older Sandisk product that I owned however. I don't think they sell a hard case for this product either, which is a very strange overlook of production. I would suggest buying a screen protector as it scratches very easily, and if you can find a case get one for extra protection. The factory refurbished is exactly the same as buying a new one. So don't overlook it just because of that title. The only thing is that it will not come in the fancy pretty box that the new one will. And it will be missing the velvet case that it usually comes with. I generally don't like the headphones that mp3 players come with. So I got newer ones to replace them. They work just fine though if youre not picky with your headphones. It also does not come with a charger, which is also weird. So if you are buying this get a wall charger as well.

    can't get much better

had mine for about two years now. with the exception of it freezing a few times after I left it on the charger too long, this thing has been a flawless companion of mine. It holds more music than I ever need at any given time, and is a cinch to use. The battery last forever it seems, and it is super durable( with a case on it). Navigation is so easy with the rotary wheel. no real complaints here. I recomend this over a fancy Itouch or expensive mp3 anyday!

I have loaded up tons of music and audiobooks/lectures, and still have plenty of room to spare. Love the audio quality. Easy to use. Exceeded my expectations for the price.

The sound is excellent. You can't get a better device for the prize. I don't care about the brand name, the quality is more important.

    Bad customer service

I have purchased 4 of this brands product. Only one has worked at all. After the Sansa Fuze 8gb would not work, I contacted the customer service department and was unable to connect because the business hours are so restricted. I am at work or on my way to and from work while they are open. Very frustrating to have been dupped by the Sansa people into believing they could deliver a working product. I am switching back to my Ipod. I will try the Sony Walkman next for a backup.
