Customers highly value the expandable memory option and the compact size with a good screen. However, they find the touchscreen to be overly sensitive.

The technology is improved from the fuze, but it's very difficult to use that technology. I find myself not accessing the music I want b/c the music is difficult to get to. It's a nice looking package, but a step backward with ease of access. Touch pad is overly sensitive. Getting to the song I want, or to the shuffle takes forever. I find myself getting extremely frustrated b/c I'm wasting time accessing something that should take milliseconds.to access. Loved the Fuze, disappointed in the Fuze+.

Bought a 2013 Nissan Juke and was looking for MP3 player compatible with both my Rhapsody subscription and my car's USB MP3 reader, but this player isn't. Works great with Rhapsody but car's USB MP3 not compatible. Also sensitivity levels of touch controls seem inconsistent....sometime overly sensitive and other times seems unresponsive. Makes operating player a trial and error operation.

Decent MP3 player for the price. Bought it as a gift for family members. Could be more user friendly and compatible with their computer as far as loading their tracks on it. Should come with a longer audio cord for use in the car.

Works ok. it doesn't scroll through song as easy as I had hoped. Not too easy to get to music you want. For the price it's ok.

Overall it is an excellent MP3, I am very happy with this one, Sansa does an excellent MP3 player. This is the second Sansa I have had and I am super happy with it. My only complaint, and it isn't too bad, in fact its probably just me, is that the buttons are kinda sensitive. Other than that, it is excellent, the services are great and it's pretty idiot proof.

NOT WORTH IT

my hubby surprised me w/ this mp3 for my bday. he has an older sansa fuze and loves it so he figured this was a step up.
this, however, is absolute crud. it is not a touch-screen but rather you touch the flat area around the cross. simple concept but mediocre execution: the buttons are not sensitive enough to respond to your touch so I find myself pressing very hard (usually out of frustration) just to get it to do what I want.
I don't recall seeing anything about how to lock the screen so whenever I go work out, I end up accidentally pressing the controls and switching songs... (how this happens, I have no clue given that the controls don't usually respond when I touch them on PURPOSE)
also, it takes FOREVER to start up and shut down, something I don't recall being an issue in previous mp3's I have owned. you have to keep the on/off button pressed for several seconds, which is an annoyance. I suspect that the controls and buttons are not consistently calibrated so you're forcing buttons to respond to one function yet other buttons respond w/ barely a tap.
I also don't like the way the menus are set up, which makes navigation a bit frustrating, especially when you're trying to focus on your workout.
the good? the quality of the screen seems pretty good, as does the sound output from my headphones. I also like the expandable memory option. I like the slim size and it seems to be a pretty durable & lightweight player. the instructions seemed pretty simple to follow along and understand, too.
however, I regret not returning this item as soon as I realized it was not what I wanted. in this product's case, theouch screen technology is overrated; I would prefer to have an mp3 player w/ a wheel #or an actual button I can press!) to navigate. I will NOT buy this again. EVER.

I bought this for my husband for a Christmas gift. He tried to set it up and wanted to download music onto it. It wouldn't turn on after it was charged or would give him a blank screen. Took it back to the store and was told that since I bought it online they wouldn't be able to exchange it for me. They don't carry this model in the store. They said they could give me store credit but then I would have to reorder the MP3 player again at a higher price than I had originally paid for it. Apparently the price went up after I originally bought it. I asked the guy if I could just ship it back myself for an exchange and he said I could. So, that is what I am trying to do now. Unfortuately, I have to pay to ship it back to the store to get it exchanged.

This is my 4th Sansa started with 2G now have 16G. I really like the Sansa units but should have started with a bigger unit. I still have the other ones but I only switch between the bigger units.

Good quality MP3 Player

I have owned two previous Sandisk MP3 Players. My first one still works perfectly, but the second one had been through rough times. I chose this MP3 Player because of the screen size and memory. There are a couple things that i like better about my old MP3 Player (ex. seeing the songs on every album of an artist together and being able to select songs within multiple albums while still having it on shuffle for all of the albums.) Once i figured out how to lock it properly and scroll faster through the artists/songs, i loved it. It has a really good sound, and i like it a lot.

This device is still miles ahead of an iPod, if only for the option to simply drag and drop files onto it. Not having to use iTunes and completely rewrite my player every time I add music is wonderful.
On the down side, they went with a touch screen model, which is less than polished and you really have to mess around with it to figure out where and how to touch it. I miss the old dial/button, this is absolutely manageable. This one also seems to be made of lower quality plastic, and feels lighter.
Great deal for your money, and the best mp3 player brand I've found.

TERRIBLE PRODUCT

I have owned other SanDisk MP3 products over the years and have enjoyed and used them with pleasure. This FUZE product is the worst MP3 I have ever used. The touch screen is too sensitive, Almost impossible to find and select music tracks and definitely NOT user friendly. All I use it for is music. After one year I am finally giving up on SanDisk. I will either give away or trash the almost new unit. One of my worst consumer purchases I have ever made. BUYER BEWARE!

Would be fine for just personal use

This mp3 player is just fine if you and you alone want to enjoy it. I have only had it for 2 days and it's going back today. I searched for hours and could not find the correct accessories to expand it's use. SanDisk didn't think anyone would want to listen to music from it in the car or on an external speaker system, I wish they had not changed the plug system on the device so I could use my prior equipment. I finally found an fm transmitter that worked, but it added alot of irritating noise and static.

So I just got this mp3 player after my 120GB iPod (that I purchased in 2008) decided to zero out and be worthless. I got it because it is the only mp3 player I could find that could hold more than 16 GB. This is formatted as 16 GB but has a microSD slot; so I was able to add a 32 GB microSD card and up the capacity to around 48 GB. I read a lot of reviews of people complaining about the "touchscreen" and the "touch keys". I thought I'd help clarify this a bit. First, this is not a touchscreen; so if you want a touchscreen then don't buy this. Second, the "touch keys" are not buttons. You simply tap the ends of the cross hair "+" to navigate. AND to the reviewer who missed their iPod "scroll wheel" all you had to do was read the directions. You can simply swipe up, down, left, or right on the cross hair and it will scroll.
Anyway, I like the way this is set up, the display, etc. It stores music and plays music which is all I need. (It also has a built in radio and storage for videos and photos). There are only a couple of things that irritate me about it and those are: 1. it can take what seems like a long time for it to load/turn on after adding new media and 2. it turns off automatically after a period of non use, which is fine but it also kind of takes several seconds to turn on (like 30-60). Overall it is a great mp3 player and if you're interested, get it!

Avoid this Product

Very simply, this product DOES NOT WORK. The touch controls almost never do what you want. Their touch controls are simply NOT touch controls. I (tried) to give this device to two other people, since I was going to end up breaking it. Both people gave it back to me, it was TOO frustrating; in other words this mp3 player was not worth "Free".
As it turned out, I guess I did eventually break it by trying to "touch" the touch controls too hard. Also, it generally took MANY 'touches' to perform any function . If I could rate this a zero I would have; it never worked correctly, caused me great frustration, and only lasted eight months of occasional use.
For those of you wondering, yes, I did update the firmware several times. And no, I am not 'used to' iPod's and just want to flame the other brands. One of my previous mp3 players was a Sansa, and I was very happy with it (the controls worked).
