Definitely, adding an SSD to my 3 year old Athlon Quad processor black edition desktop made a huge difference. I was reluctant to get an SSD, but when this one became available at a special offer of the day, I decided to buy it. No regrets, the Windows experience index says it all, I don't feel the need to upgrade my computer, it seems that it just needed a faster harddrive. So far it's been behaving fine, no issues at all, I only wish it was a 512GB, but for the price I shouldn't complain.

I just added this SSD and it jumped my windows experience from 5.9 to 7.9 and it also raised my video card rating as well. I can boot alot faster and things really are moving smoothly. Very easy installation, Great SSD!!!

I had a hard disk crash on my C drive. This has happened to me in the past, so I was prepared for it, but I've had enough of recovering from this kind of failure. When I went to best buy to replace my disk drive, I asked for solid state. My computer boots much faster and all my installed applications perform much faster as well. No more moving parts means less probability of failure. I am very satisfied.

This is an awesome SSD for the Mid to High Performance range. I have a 5 year old T520 Lenovo Laptop that has been slowing down from 4 years of college. I learned about a SSD and decided to purchase one instead of buying a new laptop and it was the best decision I've made in a while! I was between the Samsung and the SanDisk, decided on the SandDisk mainly because of price, but wow I am impressed. I've been using this SSD for a month now and everything is still as fast as it was a month ago. I highly recommend this drive for anyone who doesn't want to pay for the best of the best in SSD's.

This makes my 5 SSD purchased and like all the others it was easy to install and is extremely fast. I have Windows 10 installed and it boots within 10 seconds.

If you are looking to speed up your system adding a SSD drive is one of the most important things you can do, my system used to take quite sometime to load WIn7, and when the free upgrade to Win10 came out I knew it was time to do something about it, backed up my files and started fresh with this drive as my boot drive, now it takes less than a minute to get the system up and running. You can think 240gb is not big enough, but for a boot drive is more than enough in my case, I keep my files on a couple extra drives and some externals. Great if you can get this on sale as I did.

I was skeptcal that an ssd would make my 2 year old asus any faster, boy was I wrong. Since purchasing this I have bought 2 more for other laptops. Sure you only get 240gb but I keep my stuff backed up anyway so thay was no biggie. The speed though. Both of my laptops boot in about 3 seconds. Its so fast. Files and programs boot up very quickly. Get this an upgrade your ram, and it will breathe new life into your old laptop.

I got this to replace my windows startup disk. It's much faster now. The SSD boots up Windows7 Pro in about 15-20 seconds, where I was waiting about 1 minute and a half with a traditional hard drive before. All my programs start up much faster now too and my PC runs quieter. Plenty of space on it too for all my programs. I am using the SSD as a boot drive and have a 1TB drive for storage. Highly recommended!

I have a MacBook Pro (late 2011) which was so slow that I was almost giving up of using it. So I decided to give it a last chance and change the HD for this Sandisk SSD drive. It was my best purchase of the last 10 years!!! There were other faster options, but I didn't want to spend too much. And it turned out to be really unnecessary.The installation was super easy and the drive is really amazing! My MacBook Pro boots up and launches my apps like a rocket now! Super recommended!

When I purchased this at BB, it was $70 (on sale), which is a great price point for a 240GB SSD. This SSD is fast (although, not the fastest one out there, but for $70, it's very affordable). So far so good. NO issues that I can report even after a month of heavy use. If you have a hard drive, get an SSD (any SSD really) you won't be disappointed, and they all have come down drastically in price and have become way more reliable than in the early days (8-10 years ago).

I I purchased 2 of these to run on my laptop in raid... For a while I had one of them and was very happy with the speed of this drive... Very reliable.. I also have 2 of these drives that I switch out between recording events for my atoms ninja 2 hdmi tape less recording device.. If you are looking to get a solid state drive for a computer a laptop or something else this is an affordable prices drive that is super reliable!!! Adobe Lightroom works amazingly quick and videos render so much faster thank a regular hard drive it's amazing go buy 2 or 3 of them from your closest best buy

I replaced my old hard drive with this new sold state drive after mine broke. I'm not sure if the cats pushing it off the table or my attempt to install Yosemite is what did the old one in, but it was toast. The drive was super easy to install after reading a tutorial online, and my computer is fast and feels like new. If you are putting this on a Macbook don't forget to format it in disk utility so if can be recognized as a start-up disk!

I installed this on my laptop to make Windows 8.1 bearable. WOW! After I installed this (with the proper cables sold separately) I installed it and my laptop saw it right away, no additional drivers to install. Once I formatted this HDD and installed windows. I had a brand new laptop! I used my other HDD just for my Data and used this one strictly for my OS and Programs. (Utilizing both my HDD bays, check your manual or actual device to see if you can do this) From the moment I turn on the PC and it goes through the BIOS and Motherboard screen, Windows starts and within 5 seconds I am on my desktop!!! All my programs open easily with a click and instantaneously it's open. By laptop battery life has also improved, it now lasts pretty much all day. This mad Windows 8 (8.1) a lot better for me. Before there were always issues with something and now since I installed this, there hasn't been 1 single issue. I've had it installed now for about 3 months. Working perfectly!!!!

I'm in love with SSDs every since I found out they existed. I have replaced virtually all of my HDDs with SSDs. This particular SSD is pretty good. I have had no issues with it so far. I put in the second bay of my ASUS ROG laptop as the OS boot drive. As always, the difference in boot time and overall performance is night and day. This thing blazes. I didn't download any of the utilities to manage the drive but as a plug and play I had no problems with installation. 240GB was plenty big for me because my laptop came with 2TB that I could use for mass storage. Ideally, I would like to have a TB or better SSD in all of my rigs but SanDisks 240 GB is more than adequate.

This 2.5' Solid State Drive (SSD) is a good value for the money, especially when on sale, which happens a lot. We've used other brands to upgrade and repair PC's, and to date, have not had a problem with the SanDisk brand. We have had other brands fail within 120 days, but not any of these. We've installed over 30 of these SSD's in customer's computers without a hitch. It does not come with an adapter to allow a 2.5" drive to fit in a 3.5 drive bay. If you're installing this in a desktop computer, you will probably need an adapter. Many local computer shops carry them for around $15.00 or less. Not having an adapter if you need one, will bring your upgrade project to a halt, or look unprofessional as you try and secure it in the larger drive bay, so check before you buy. The 240 GB size easily holds the Windows Operating System, and the normal programs and data that most people use. If you have a lot of data, get a regular mechanical Hard Drive just to hold your data, and use this SSD for the OS and your programs. That gives you the added benefit of being able to more easily move your data from one computer to another, or save either the OS or the Data in case one of the drives fail. Make sure you set the computer up to automatically store the data on the second hard drive if you go this route. A good choice for an upgrade project, or replacement of a failing hard drive. Gives new life to older computers. You'll find yourself going from power on to a working desktop in as little as 15 seconds. You'll also notice a dramatic increase in speed all the way around. After looking at similarly priced SSDs, I decided the SanDisk was right for my purpose. I installed my OS and programs on it and used a mechanical HDD for all my larger files such as videos and my Steam library. I mainly just wanted to see if the hype was real, and I was not disappointed. My rig now ready to go from a dead stop to fully operational in less than 15 seconds. Happy customer.

I am not sure this drive is noticeably better than other SSD drives I have used to upgrade computers that have the old disk-based drives. That is good news, SSD are all very fast and make a new or old machine seem so much more responsive. This drive has been in use for a couple months now and I expect it will last years because ones I have installed that long ago are still smoking along.

On my C drive with Windows 10, Norton, and other startup apps running it performs at or above Max Speeds. I now own 2 and will probably be buying 4 more.
