I needed it for my laptop that took about 3 minutes to power up and now it takes less than half of that and my programs open faster and efficiently. I also notice that my battery last a little bit longer.

I transferred my HD over to the SSD, removed the HD and installed the SSD. It used to take about 1 1/2 minutes to boot up from power off, now takes about 20 seconds or less. Programs load almost instantly.

The solid state Uploads faster and no moving parts

My initial install was minimal -- hooked it up and left it dangling but it was functional. There was no installation hardware. Just the drive. Further Best Buy carried no installation HW. I ordered a HW kit from Amazon Prime and received it two days later. Now drive is installed properly. It works great. Fast data read and writes. No issues.

I got this hard drive to replace a failed drive in my father-in-laws macbook pro. Not only is the drive super fast, but the weight of the drive is a couple ounces lighter than the HDD he had previously.

After consulting with a Best Buy Rep and the Apple rep in my local store , they showed me the Hard Drive and said I could install it myself to expand my lap tops capabilities. It worked ,fantastically!

Great offering from Sandisk. Light small fast easy to install. Product meets all expectations. Something I have come to expect from Sandisk but it's always good to see they still hit the high bar.

So, I have had this product before for about a year. Although this may not be an enthusiast grade product it does get the job done.

The memory stick is easy to install and you can't install it incorrectly. You do have to be careful as it can pop out if you pull the tray out. Memory has worked without any issues in my S7.

Upon advice from a Geek Squad tech, I had this installed on a new laptop that was very slow. I could not believe the difference in performance. Much faster startup and overall faster surfing.

I bought this to replace in a 3 and a half year old dell laptop. The loading times are faster then when it was new. Definitely worth getting if you want to improve performance in your computer.

I have been looking for a good SSD for sometime. Came across this one, did some research and decided to get this one. The improvement is incredible. Doubt I will ever go back to regular HD!!!

Moving to a solid state drive increases access time a lot. Definately would recommend moving to SSDs for desktops and laptops.

Bought this drive to bring new life to an 11 year old laptop. The only hiccup, I had to rebuild the MBR of Windows 10 after cloning. Everything has been working great for over a month now.

At a glance, I figured $83+ (this was on sale) for a 240GB SSD is a steal. There were other competitors such as Kingston and Samsung but they are both priced high (very high in fact, but very good & fast SSDs). So I went with the SanDisk. I use SanDisk memory cards for my DSLRs so I'm sure they're great with SSDs for PC desktops right? Wrong. (Note: This is based on my experience. I'm sure these work fine for other people.) So I have a high performance PC gaming rig (i7 4790K, 24gb of RAM, GTX 980Ti graphics card). Within less than an hour, my whole computer would crash or freeze up. I got BSOD (blue screen of death) errors twice. I tried different games to make sure it wasn't just the game. Same thing. So, I figured this was just a defective SSD so I went back to Best Buy and did an even exchange. This time, I installed it on my other PC rig (i5 4690K, 16gb of RAM, GTX 760 graphics card). All of a sudden, I get another BSOD error. Sometimes my computer would just flat out reboot. I gave up, returned this SSD, went to Frys and got an AMD Radeon 7 SSD. Ever since then, not a single crash or BSOD (yet). If you look up forums, you'll see the term 'BSOD' and SanDisk SSD a lot. I wanted to see for myself, but in MY experience, this is true. Again, this may be different for others, but for me using 2 high powered PC rigs, installing this drive just made my systems react horribly.

Yes this SSD isn't the fastest or most reliable drive out there on the market but it is still a great SDD. Been running my main editing rig off of it for a few months and its nice and fast and no problems so far. Would recommend this as a fast storage drive for gaming and running your windows install off of it is fine too.
