Purchased on sale Nov.2020 for a new Dell laptop as a storage drive only. Laptop delivery was delayed for 6 weeks. I had no other means of testing the m.2 until I finally took possession of laptop on Jan. 4 2021. BIOS saw the m.2 but was missing from explorer, diskmgr. and device mgr. Diskpart did not recognize the m.2 either. I should have done this earlier but I bought an external ssd nvme m-key enclosure and this device did not detect the m.2 ssd. I can only conclude the drive was defective OOTB. It's way past Bestbuys return date. I submitted an RMA to Sandisk (Western Digital) 13 days ago and am still waiting for a reply. In my experience dealing with warranty returns direct from electronics mfg.'s I'll probably be stuck with an unworkable product.

This Item came at an excellent price point and was an upgrade to a couple year old VR Station. It was my first time using m.2 ssd as a primary drive to reduce seek time and loading screens between game play. Item came quickly from bestbuy.com and was well packaged for the rough journey to our remote Alaskan hide-away.. The drive was easy to install and performs well so far, as most SanDisk products tend to do.

I am very satisfied with this little guy. Games are loading at least 30% faster than on my standard SSD. This was also very easy to install. Just do your research before you buy it and make sure your motherboard supports NVME or get a small pcie card adapter. The build quality is top notch an at $120 the price can’t be beat Also windows will not show the drive in “My PC” until you create a partition for it. Just type partition on the start menu and follow the tutorial. Even flight simulator 2020 loads fast with this thing

A perfect upgrade! I was upgrading from a 2.5" 1TB SSD which was capped out with SATA speeds. 500 MB read is not bad but compared to extreme speeds NVMe provides it is nothing! Speeds appear instant and installation is simple as can be. It does not come with an extra screw so you might need one on hand if not already on your motherboard. To clone your hard drive to make this a primary drive you will need to download the Acronis True Image software from the Sandisk site. It is free and provides basic functionality but most importantly it allows cloning. It works the first time for me and had no issues since. This hard drive goes on sale often and is an amazing value.

Using this currently with my Xbox Series X (by way of a 3.2 USB Sabrent NVME drive adapter). For me, it's a great alternative to the proprietary 1TB drive because I'm catching up with a lot of Xbox 360 and Xbox One titles, so I'm not pulling much from the Internal SSD. Game installs, runs, and saves are running without issue. I think this would be a great add-on for anyone running the next gen system, especially the Series S!! Was able to get it around the holidays for around $90, plus $35 for the NVME drive case. Can't beat it. Preserve the internal drive, and install on this one for everything that isn't Internal SSD dependent.

I purchased the SanDisk Ultra 1 TB Internal PCIe Gen 3 x 4 NVMe SSD to expand the storage of my recently purchased Dell XPS 9510 w/512 GB. I figured that the default 512 GB SSD would run my OS as well as default applications and the added 1 TB would be for media content (i.e. games, movies, music, etc). Also, this was on sale for $99.99 at the time of purchase whereas versus normal price at $249.99 so it was a no brainer for a 1 TB SSD especially when compared to the others selling for much more. The only drawback I would say is that it doesn't come w/a screw to help secure it in place. Overall, installation was a breeze and working as it should.

Works great inside my MSI laptop. Give it a boost in storage from 256 to 1000GB. Easy to install, relatively inexpensive. Fast enough for a boot drive. We can install some games now so my kid can enjoy after school work. I can install apps and other software to work without having to pay attention to the limted space that comes with the laptop. Like memory, 16GB isn't enough. Hard drive should come at 1TB as standard. This is good investment that I think will last for a while, 2 or 3 years, until we have to buy a new laptop. Highly recommend.

Great internal SSD. Very fast and affordable (when on sale for around $100). Provides plenty of space and seems reliable

Super form factor, Works as it should. Tons of room for gaming on my purpose built gaming rig. I bought two and they both worked with no issues which was awesome. The price is very good and the response rate performance is great. Yes I could have bought faster drives but these are more than fast enough and they install easily.

I used this NVMe when building a new system. It installed easily, booted great and is extremely fast.

I bought 2 of these because of price and specs, which are good for the money. get m.2 NVMe performance at SSD price. Physically installation was straight forward, with one installed in a dedicated m.2 slot on ASUS Rampage V motherboard and the other in a PCIe adapter on an ASUS X99-Deluxe motherboard. HOWEVER Neither one consistently appeared in "Disk Management" or "File Explorer" of Windows 10 even after adding as a simple volume. Restarting resulted in about a 50% appearance of the drives so I gave up on using the one in the dedicated NVMe slot as boot drive for now. After much research I found that SanDisk Ultra M.2 NVMe SSd is actually a WD drive and after downloading and installing Western Digital Dashboard and using it (once when the drive happened to appear) to update the SanDisk Ultra's FIRMWARE on each machine the problem seemed to be resolved and at least so far each drive appears every time I have booted these two machines. Basically no useful documentation comes with these (not unusual including the Sam.... brand) and only happened across the fact they are apparently rebranded WD brand devices. They are faster than advertised and a good buy after update, but a simple instruction to update to the latest firmware version would have saved me hours of fiddling and rebooting - hours of wasted time. That made it absolutely not worth the money if time is worth more than a few dollars an hour. None of this is Best Buys fault, thought I suspect they were aware somehow of a problem and thus the great price. Would I buy them again? Only if I were aware how simple the solution was. Just try to find any information though if without knowing they are rebranded Western Digital devices. The were delivered very quickly in pristine condition by BestBuy, no complaint there just update the firmware as soon as you can get them to appear in Disk Management.

The SanDisk Ultra 1TB is a great purchase. It runs fast and has plenty of hard drive space. The reason I bought it was for its 1TB size and I've been very happy with it. I had a Samsung 250G previously and the SanDisk runs about the same speed when testing. Best Buy had a great price on it and it was definitely worth the price. I own 2 of these and have had no problems.

If you have a M1 / NVMe slot on your motherboard, this is a great option to add fast booting and 1 tb storage! It's easy to install however depending on your motherboard and SATA configuration, you may need to read the manual to get the drive to be your primary drive (and if you want to clone your current drive there is software as part of the package to do so). Overall it's a great drive!

This drive is absolutely fantastic! It was easy to install and works perfectly. My PC boot time went from roughly 10 minutes to less than 1 minute. This drive is worth every penny and I would recommend it to anyone with a PC. I even got it at a fantastic price, as it was less than $100 on a sale.

My last PC build was back when SSD was still new tech and much too pricey for me to even go for. I was so close to buying a 1TB Samsung SATA SSD that cost the same amount of money until I came across this one. This drive is an absolute bargain at this price! I couldn't believe how quickly Windows 10 installed with this baby. It might not be as fast as the Samsung version but it's plenty fast enough and at nearly half the price it's worth every penny.

I got this SSD for a good deal on Black Friday; however, I will easily recommend this, for the $100 price range. The installation of the drive is simple enough, but you will need a motherboard that has an expansion slot. Make sure that you check that your hardware has the slot, and if it does, make you have the latest bios for your motherboard. Installation requires a you plugging in the drive and a motherboard screw. Beware that this product does not come with a screw to install, so you will have to have one of those ready.

Picked it up on sale when the need for a new SSD became apparent. Read/write speeds are as fast as advertised. Windows boot time is under 8 seconds on cold boot, so fast I don't even get to see the POST screen on reboots. Game load times are cut by 50% or better in many cases, though that is the case for most any SSD vs a HDD. My ARK server boots in about 2.5 minutes instead of 20+ minutes. Only con is the price per gb compared to hard drives. You still really don't have a viable budget option for storing data that actually relies on high speed access. That's true for any SSD though, and if you catch this one on sale it's cheaper than a SATA model that runs 1/4 of the speed.
