Got this during Black Friday sale, upgraded the main hard drive from hdd to ssd, wow what a difference in loading speed. There's no heat and no noise from the drive at all, easy installation. Depending on your version of Windows and how u configured things, setting up the OS swap might take some time because chances are your main hdd drive is bigger than 480gb, so that makes cloning a bit more complicated. But eventually figured it out, just took a few days to get it right. Great drive for the money ,cant complain

This SSD drive is fast and at a great price, so I bought 2. This disk works great and boots my desk top in less than 1 minute.

Bought this to install in my 5-year old HP Quad Core i7, which has enough power that I don't want to let go just yet. It works perfectly, installed quickly, and was quite economical considering the capacity. Only small complaint is that Best Buy doesn't stock the rail adapter to fit a 2.5" drive in a 3.5" bay, so I had to order it from Amazon. Come on, Best Buy, don't *force* me to use Amazon?!

I was thinking about getting a new laptop, with a little more hard drive storage, but someone mentioned that I should swap out my original drive for a SSD. This is almost like getting a new laptop, it boots up in about 10 seconds, not the minutes it took original hard drive. Using the one time use cloning software was a snap to copy my old hard drive "clone" to the new SSD, no reformatting or re-installing anything. It's just like my "old" laptop, but new laptop fast.

This Sandisk SSD was installed in my MacPro Early 2008 and the speed increase was dramatic from Boot time to Apps loading and operating. It was such an improvement, that after I ran this, I ended up buying a PCIe Card SSD unit and more then doubled the speed again. The Sandisk SSD is now my Cache and Scratch disk. Photoshop and Lightroom are like you're working in Hyper-drive.

This drive met all my expectations. It's much faster than the old mechanical drive. And boot times are excellent.

Bought this drive to replace another crashed hard drive. I'm done with anything but solid state going forward. Drive is priced reasonably and is more dependable. Boot ups are faster. Everything is faster. I now have piece of mind that my hard drive is not going to crash and lose all my data.

Installed and formatted without any trouble. Performance is much faster than traditional hard drive replaced.

I cannot believe the difference an SSD makes in a computer's speed. If you are thinking about RAM, WiFi, or any other upgrade - skip it, and go right for an SSD. It doesn't do it justice to say "fast" ... but nothing will make the boot times, the application loading, etc faster than swapping out for an SSD. Regarding this SanDisk, it's nearly as fast as the top rated Samsung, and it's cheaper. I highly recommend it. It was a breeze to install and setup.

The SanDisk name is one that I've come to rely on. Quality build is excellent, performance is significantly above average, and availability to great. Also, Best Buy has several sizing options on hand with prices that are most competitive. This unit connects instantly with both Mac and Windows operating systems, requiring no further adapting or upgrading.

I purchased this when my HP drive failed and it works great. It is faster and more stable.

I had just finished building my new desktop PC when I noticed that this SSD was on sale. So, I purchased it to take advantage of Best Buy's Christmas extended return policy. I did a clean install of Windows 10 Home. I made this SSD my boot drive and all of the necessary drivers where installed. I then opened the SanDisk Dashboard and updated the firmware. Everything went smooth as silk. My assessment, you will be very pleased as am I.

Best thing I did when getting my new PC was to have the Geeks install this Solid State Drive and transfer the OS (win10) to it. Now my load time from power on to active input went from 4+ minutes with old PC to 25 seconds and half of that is the graphic card's flash screen. With the rapidly lower pricing of SSDs always get the biggest you can get. This 480 was the largest BB had on display at the time but 1TBs are out there.

This is a great price for a fast, reliable SSD. Picked up several for work, no complaints at all.
