Sanford and Son has always been one of my favorite shows to watch; I love the chemistry between Redd Foxx and Demond Wilson, playing the cantankerous Fred Sanford and his loyal son, Lamont who is a saint to tolerate his father's craziness; I find myself laughing at the crazy situations both sometimes get into, along with Bubba, Grady, Lamont's bud, Rollo and Oh, yes; Fred's SIL, Esther; love how they get at each other's nerves! Love the cast; it makes for a very funny show! 5 stars!

I bought this DVD when it was a deal of the day. Growing up I remember watching the reruns with my dad, so when I saw this set on sale it was an easy decision to buy it for him as a Father's Day gift. The shows are classics, and before a time of political correctness. However, they're good clean humor about a father and son living day-to-day in a junk yard business. If you've watched these shows growing up, you'll enjoy watching them again; if you haven't watched the shows and are looking for good old fashioned silly humor with a little bit of life lessons included, these are a great choice. Enjoy!

Sanford and Son is hilarious. You definitely could not make a show like this today as its not exactly politically correct but man is it great. I picked this up for my dad for his bday and caught it on a deal of the day for 20.00. I think it has 6 seasons? could be mistaken but either way tons of hours on it and the replay value is definitely there. If you love the show pick this up you will obviously not be disappointed and for those of you who are like WTH is this show..Try it out it is awesome.

I saw this at the store and thought what a great gift it would make for my husband's birthday but didn't get it the day I saw it. I went back a couple days later and the last one they had in stock had been sold that very day! Customer service was fantastic and ordered another one for me immediately and had it shipped to my house. I am thrilled to have this complete collection as my husband adores this television show and watches it whenever he catches reruns on tv!

Episodes are very clear this a great series for anyone who loves classic comedy

One of those shows that likely wouldn't make the air in 2017, the revolutionary episodes of raucous comedy that was "Sanford & Son" (based on a British show of a similar name) is captured here in this complete series box set, capturing all of the comedic genius of Redd Foxx (who's real name was John Sanford) at the height of his fame. This is recommended and required viewing for fans of comedy, the 1970s and/or Mr. Foxx.

Great movie lots of fun and would recommend it to anyone.

One of the funniest shows ever, this collection is a must-have for fans of the comedy genre in TV series. The hub pack is pretty sturdy. I've found no issues with the quality of the discs, either, as I've seen mentioned in some reviews. We haven't stopped binge-watching it!

The complete series 1971 to 1976, 136 episodes. Video format 4:3, standard definition, 480 interlaced. The storage is poorly configured , a light plastic shell with the DVD piled on top of each other. The box art list all 6 season with episode titles. The picture is a bit grainy, which means the video transfer is from analog tape, I suspect, but dates quite accurately the era in which the series was made. The opening music theme is crisp and clear , excellent audio transfer. Close up shots of the actors are a little clearer than the wide shots. This DVD set brings back to life a classic comedic struggle between father and son, not unlike most fathers and sons. I enjoyed viewing the set, as well as the memories it brought to mind of my father and I. Yes, I do recommend SANFORD and SON.

I purchased this set so that I could see these old shows. I've always loved Sanford and Son and since I don't have any cable I love to watch the older programs commercial free love it!

Man, what a classic. Before everyone got all offended over every little thing...there were shows like this. Shows that broke down doors of racism. This show would never make it to network TV today. Funny and thoughly entertaining.

Loved watching Sanford & Son as a child. Reliving those memories now with the complete series in one complete set. No need to look for each individual season and try to keep track of those individual sets around your house.

If you like to laugh and be amused then you need to purchase this complete series. It is very funny and hilarious. Back when watching good clean comedy appeared on tv. Now it seems comedy on tv has is gone.

Classic Comedy. It wasa must watch series of the time. A story of the average business man who saw value in what most didn't. Bringing truth to the statement, " one man's trash is another man treasure".

I hadn't watched Sanford and Son in a long time since they no longer show them on TV. I was happy to get this boxed set from Bestbuy. Everything was in good condition and each DVD plays wonderfully.

I love Sanford & Son and was excited to find this set with all the episodes. However, I think it would have been better if the DVDs were in jackets instead of stacked on a spindle.

I was very pleased to purchase this set at such a great price. This was always a very funny show, and watching these episodes again was a real pleasure, especially since they can be viewed in their entirety, commercial free.

One of the best shows of all time Redd Foxx was a king of comedy. He was funny when he wasn't even trying to be. I love when Fred faces off with Esther.

I bought this series for my brother just for the fun of hit. HE LOVES IT!!! He spent many hours watching this show when we were kids. Now he can watch it anytime he wants! Thanks, Best Buy!

This is one of the BEST of the 70's! Redd Fox is fabulous with an outstanding cast around him! Picture and sound are very good and a GREAT BUY!! You will not be disappointed!!
