I bought this radio because I have another Sangean that gets excellent reception in my rural area. So does this one and the sound is very good for the price. My criticism goes to setting up the alarm, which is needlessly complex and the number of small identical buttons.

I replaced a 30-year old clock radio that stopped getting good reception. The Sangean is sleek and small, gets good reception, and has the two alarms I want--1 for Weekdays; 1 for Weekends. The Humane Wake system allows me to set my alarm to gently wake up to the radio station I choose. My only warning: I have no problem reading the time, but at night I have to put a tissue box in front of its yellow light display, since I need a dark room to get good sleep. Problem solved.

This was the first time I spent more than the bare minimum for an alarm clock. I am pleased that I did, with the disclaimer that I don't have 10 other alarm clocks to compare it to. I always use the radio, and the reception and sound are great. I didn't find it that complicated to use, and I appreciate the small size. I have one issue, but it is my own fault given how we use the clock. We have the clock across the room so that we have to get out of bed to hit snooze. Well, with my bad eyes, I can't read the clock for anything while laying in bed. We could have purchased a different clock to solve this problem. Having said that, I still really like this alarm clock.

I am really impressed with this alarm clock. Love the display adjustment and the reception. The sound is good for the price and the volume setting for the alarm mode is a great feature. A solid replacement for my old proton which was falling apart RIP.

Radio is compact and easy to operate. Reception is better than many clock radios tested, but still would like better reception.

Aux in/out clear sound & a radio that ACTUALLY WORKS. IT looks pretty sleek on the night stand & delivers a clear sound & the alarm is nice and clear for a gentile wake up call.

Reading the time on this clock radio could be a problem for you. If you place the radio at eye level or below, you can read the time numbers. If you place it above eye level, as I did, on a dresser next to the bed, you can't read the numbers at that angle! I had to get a small bedside table to put it on so I could read the time.

Since I already owned another Sangean Radio and was happy with it, and when I needed a radio for another room, this was a no brainer

My husband wanted a compact radio to put in the Master Bath/Closet. It sits nicely in the small space he needed and it produces great sound for the rooms it covers.

Easy to program! Great way to wake up! It wakes you up by gradually increasing volume until you shut it off! I love it!

This clock was very easy to set . I have also bought my mom one

The radio sounds good, but I have had problems with the alarm. It seems to want to go off at the same time in the morning when there is no alarm set.
