This radio has it all. It looks good. It sounds good. It setup quickly and easily. We did the FM Setup. All that took was a switch on the back. (The AM might or might not have needed a separate antenna for best sound. However, the supplied wire antenna was enough for the FM. ) And most important if all, There was nothing to learn to use it. There was a dial for OFF/ volume. Another dial rotates to find stations. It even lights a LED when the dial hits the best signal.

I wanted the look of the wood and the simplicity of operation. A trip down memory lane. Just what I was looking for. Easy to tune and has good sound.

If you are not interested in making all sorts of adjustments or deal with a front panel resembling the instruments in a jet cockpit, this is the radio for you. Many listeners want to simply turn a radio on, choose their favorite station and volume level, then walk away or sit back, relax and enjoy. The Sangean WR-11 does that best! I have owned many (maybe too many) radios of all styles and configurations since around 1970, so I have learned a few things about the quality, performance and specialties of receivers and I continue to research radios all the time. I own this particular Sangean model WR-11 and it is as user-friendly as you'll find. This radio checks all the boxes for simplicity, wonderful sound quality, great look in any room/office, craftsmanship, reliability, very impressive reception on AM/FM and it satisfies in the best possible way! You'll get all of this at a very reasonable price. *This radio does not offer any battery power option, A/C only. It's a great radio and very, very simple to operate. It would be a really good choice for individuals with disabilities, including sight impaired listeners like me!
