Poor quality for large TV's

The mounting base was level when secured to the wall but the TV did not hang level, even after adjusting with the set screw on the back. When I adjusted the tilt, the set screw broke off when I tightened it and the mount does not extend or retract fluidly. I would have ended up breaking the TV if I would have continued to use this mount. It takes way too much force to extend and retract a TV this size.

Understandably the wall mount is shipped in its outward facing box. Slap a sticker and let it fly. However it doesnt seem to be made for shipping since the top was completely open and the other end had gaping holes where the corners used to be. I haven’t even bother to check if everything is there cause you can tell without opening the box that the mount corner is bent. Pick up the mount... dont ship it

Sorry to hear that. There are a couple things I can think of that may help here. Have you tried greasing the track, that may help, also another trick is to loosen the lower lag bolt on the side with the stuck arm. Sometimes when installed, the lag bolt holes are drilled to narrow and it pinches the wall plate together. Have you tried adjusting the tilt tension? That should help keep your mount where you want it and so it won't tilt down if you don't want it too. The directions for this are on page 25 in the IM. We do have a pdf IM available for download on our Sanus website.

One side would freely swing in and out, the other barely moved. If you tried to pull the TV away from the wall it required 2 people and both had to lift up the bottom of TV.

To try and pull my tv away from the walls requires such force that it feels like I’m going to break the TV. When I am able to pull it away, the arms do not extend in unison so putting it back, again, feels like I’m going to break my TV from the force required. Steer clear of this product!

Poor excuse for a tv mount

The slide mechanism binds from the weight of the tv, a 42” size. This mount was recommended by Best Buy’s In-Home Sales Manager, I’m wondering why Best Buy would recommend and sell this faulty mount.

A couple of things I can think of here that might help the difficulty moving the mount. Have you tried greasing up the track at all to help it move better? Also another thing you could try is loosening up the lower lag bolt on the side where the mount is sticking. Sometimes the lag bolt holes are drilled to narrow, pinching the wall plate together when installed.
