The mount holds the TV nice and close to the wall.

This mount should have a much wider stance. The center which holds the whole thing together is only about 4" x 6". Even though the TV is not that heavy, it should not be rated for a 90".

Great wall mount. I used it for a 60" TV above my fireplace and it works great. It slides side-to-side and tilts enough to get it exactly centered and at the perfect viewing angle.

This mount was unable to counter balance my 79" Sony 4k TV, resulting in the TV permanently tilting forward at maximum tilt towards the ground due to gravity despite my tv weighing only 2/3 of the rated max weight. Worse yet, this was purchased as an install package with geek squad. At the conclusion of the otherwise great installation, the lead installer explained the malfunction as a known fact that this mount never works with my tv. Hey thanks for wasting my afternoon. And if you think replacing the mount with a functioning one is a simple and cost free exchange, think again. Geek squad was unable to recommend a tilt mount that would work. I even called sanus who was surprised it didn't work, but his best recommendation turned out to be a discountinued and unavailable mount. So I am stuck with an expensive tilt mount that must be rigged up with styrofoam to achieve the desired tilt. If this sounds reasonable to you, by all means by this sanus mount with geek squad install services. For me however I will stay away from both in the future.

Don't buy this unless you want your large tv to move with a soft tap of your fingers. I've got a Sony 4K 79" and Geek Squad recommended this item. At 1st Geek Squad was great but after installing it I wasn't convinced it will hold up. A single tap and it moves a lot. They tighten the tensions and it still moves. The mount held up but I was nervous every time I watch tv. I then called geek squad to adjust bc it will tilted and locking latch wasn't secured. Geek squad came to the house and 1st thing he said, this mount should not be used for the size and weight of this tv! He recommended a tilt mount just like my 60" plasma & will install it for free. Geek Squad and Best Buy sure knows how to keep a customer happy. 5 stars for Geek Squad/Best Buy but 0 stars for the mount.

Bought this mount with the geek squad package. Geek squad mounted it great. Only complaint was, the tv was pivoting to the right. The shear weight of the TV was to heavy for it. This is for the 79" Sony TV with the speakers on the side.
