Awesome little addition to my mobile life

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was first introduced to this brand at an Apple Store and I saw this one at a Best Buy and after double checking with the Apple Store on the model they had, and doing some checking on the web, I purchased this particular one. I have to say I am thoroughly impressed. I made my iPad Air come to life on an external monitor and I can see being able to use this with my iPad as a back up or temporary computer. I was also able to use this with my Samsung Galaxy S21 and was equally impressed that it worked on that as well (and was amazed that, if I needed, I can use Samsung on an external monitor too.) And this gives me a little more functionality with the Ethernet port and the extra USB port. I can’t wait to do more with this think and see what else it is capable of.

Called Dell as part of my service plan & they said it was a very old model. Purchased a different one from Dell & works great. Also I had points from laptop purchase so on paid $16 for it. Would not recommend at all.

Okay except for non-working power pass through

Works with simple needs like reading files from a USB drive with a computer or iPad with no USB-A port. Works very inconsistently for power pass though and for devices that need power such as an external CD reader. Disappointed in this product and will be throwing away to replace with something with better power pass through capabilities. Ugh!
