I purchased this movie to upgrade from DVD to 4K. Definitely worth getting. The picture quality is so much better than DVD. Even small details are noticeable; it's like watching the movie for the first time. The remastered sound is also a big improvement.

JohnTravolta and Karen Lynn Gorney along with the music of The Bee-Gees and other artists transported me back to the disco era. 4K picture and sound were excellent on the discs. Enjoyed the extras.

Classic 70s movie with an amazing soundtrack. Bee Gees! Great picture quality. This movie almost feels like a lost Scorcese or De Palma movie.

In one of John Travolta's iconic movies, the movie itself is a worthy look of NY and the mid to late '70s disco scene. Is it a notable improvement over the Blu-ray itself? It's slight, in my opinion. I own over 1,000 movies and over half are 4K now. There is some improvement in detail, but it is not stellar. Sound is still good though as well in a 5.1 Dolby TrueHD. I have a Sony 4K player and TV. Soundbar is Sony as well, a new 2023 model. It depends on what equipment you have currently for best results. I saw no dirt at all in this movie, so yes, it was a slight improvement over the current Blu-ray version for detail. 4K~ Audio options are numerous with English 5.1 Dolby TrueHD being at the top, 4 other languages at 5.1. Commentary by Director John Badham. Subtitles are fabulous at 14 languages or no subtitles. Menu is okay for the 4K, a still frame of John in dance. No music background. Blu-ray ~ Menu is fantastic with motion scenes from the movie, background music "Stayin' Alive" by the Bee Gees. *Director's Cut and Theatrical Cut selections Director's is 3 minutes longer at 2:02 Theatrical is 1:59. Audio is same as 4KUHD 5.1 DolbyTrueHD English *Special Features: '70s Discopedia Catching the Fever Back To Bay Bridge Dance Like Travolta with John Cassese Fever Challenge! Deleted Scene: Tony and Stephanie in car. Comes with Digital copy, and a nice Slipcover. I do recommend this one if you love John. GREASE is also phenomenal on 4K. BLOWOUT was also outstanding in 4K Criterion Edition. Awaiting URBAN COWBOY now on 4K. Adult themes throughout. I do recommend this one, but not for younger audiences.

Good movie. Brings back so many memories. The picture is good but could have been done better. I was expecting a cleaner picture but I’m still glad I purchased the 4K.

This movie is in my top 4 favorite movies of all time. Travolta is in every scene and is the reason that it holds up so well. This film kicked the existing dance club craze into hyper mode. The Bee Gees soundtrack is just awesome. I waited for 4 years for this 4k release.

I anticipated a stellar A/V presentation of one of my favorite movies..only to be VERY disappointed. Picture quality gets a slight bump in detail, in certain scenes, over the blu-ray..but that's about it. Sound quality is VERY poor on the 4k disc. If I didn't know better, I'd say this was a Disney release. Volume is low..bass is nearly non-existent, and song cues that I was waiting for had no impact whatsoever. There are a couple of decent special features, but nothing to get excited about. The blu-ray disc is included here, so you can enjoy it instead of the 4k version. The blu-ray has a decent picture and the sound is FAR superior to the 4k version. Watch the blu-ray and use the 4k disc for a drink coaster..or maybe target practice.

John Travolta '70s movie classic. Saturday Night fever is one of those old school movies that it's a cold classic for everyone especially if you grew up in that era movie picture sound is amazing especially on this 4K transfer
