It's an entertaining movie but the acting and movie quality are not the best. It's a kids story movie.

This is a movie worth returning to, with magnetically grotesque practical effects, a haunting autumnal atmosphere, and an excellent lead performance by Zoe Margaret Colletti. The disc also comes with a too-brief but fascinating collection of footage of the performers having their costumes applied and creating the gripping and fearsome special effects.

I get what they were going for with this but I feel it just fell flat of where it could have went.

Took me a while to pull the trigger and watch this one. I was pleasantly surpirsed here as it took me back to childhood with goosebumps and Are you afraid of the dark. I was even happier that it still had a slipcover as i dont understand why store pull them off once a sale starts or the price lowers.

This film wasn’t really scary at all but still entertaining for a movie night with the family.

I was pleasantly surprrised by this movie, even though I initially thought it was made primarily for small children. I would have to say it is probably too scary for little ones, even though it is relatively mild for a horror movie. This multiformat set is an excellent value, buy it if you like horror movies!

It feels like a darker goosebumps but it was fun it took a little bit it keeps you interested

Hollywood has gone off the rails in Horror over the past decade, but "Scary stories to tell in the dark" gives horror fans a new and different perspective. This isn't your traditional, as of late, horror movie - there's a completely different feel to this movie. I really enjoyed how this was put together.

Decent movie for a decent price! I love horror movies like these especially around this time of the year. The practical effects that went into this are phenomenal and left me lying awake at night, the first time I seen it in theaters. If you're a horror fan like me, you should definitely give this movie a shot.

Growing up a fan of these books I went into this movie with pretty high expectations and am happy to say it did not disappoint. The atmosphere and music were both on point. The disc itself it great, with good color saturation and excellent sounds. I highly recommended.

It almost felt like a teen's movie, nothing new to show. It was entertaining enough.

This movie was a great take on a collection of stories that terrified me as a child. I used to love reading these, however they always seemed to leave me in fear of turning off the lights. This movie is not extremely scary by any means, but if you ever enjoyed the book as a child, you will enjoy the movie adaptation.

I luv movies that Guillermo del Toro has anything to do with, and this movie he was a producer and worked on the screen play. The movie is suspenseful and holds your interest. You might recognize s scary stories from your childhood. I luv this type of movie...not just gore and not a slasher movie... but a suspenseful movie!

Overall the movie stayed as true to the stories in the books as it could with maintaining somewhat of a plot. This movie was definitely as scary as I remembered when reading the books as a kid. The movie was filled with thrill and excitement and I will be recommending this for more of my family to see.

I have never read any of these stories growing up. I wanted to see this movie in the theaters, but missed it. It’s pretty creepy for a PG-13 movie, but I kind of wish it was rated R. Too much time on backstory of random characters, but other than that, it’s pretty decent.

4k is the right format for this freaky movie based on the young adult series of anthologies. I had low expectations for the movie going in, but I came out of it pleasantly surprised. It may be aimed at teens and tweens, but there's plenty of suspense, scares and action for adults.

It didn't fully live up to the books, but this will be a Halloween watch every year from now on. I think it was doomed coming out around the same time as IT Chapter One. Tough comparison. Enjoy this movie and would recommend to any fan of the books or just someone who likes good scary movies.

I found this 4K movie to be best viewed in a dark room. There are a lot of dark scenes. To get the best picture, no other light should be on when watching this 4K movie. This movie is not that scary for adults, but is scary enough for younger children. The Steel Book is nice as well.

I enjoyed this movie very much! It reminds me of Goosebumps which I enjoyed very much. The story was interesting, the cast uniformly good and the special effects very icky, particularly the spiders coming out of the young actress face. The bluray looks great. Overall, I was happy with my purchase.

Great product, excellent movie. I grew up reading the books and this was a great film adaptation. It's not a "remake" of the books just an interpretation, but it's just as scary. It looks great in 4K and the special features are fun. Can't wait to watch it every Halloween.
