I enjoy this movie but was disappointed that the steelbook had a spine slash. All the ones in the store had one and there were no more available locally. It was quite expensive for a damaged (very slightly) steelbook.

My daughter has been wanting this movie for a long time . She loves watching scary movies. I found it at a great price so I went ahead and got it for hear . She has watched it several times and told me it’s really good.

This Guillermo del Toro produced film is not horror-based as you may expect but the fantastical and goth story makes it a really well made movie. If you like a horror story focused on the monsters and their stories, don't miss this one.

Theatrically I saw this immediately after I'd seen some other R-rated horror/suspenser. This one bested the movie I'd seen. I'm not usually drawn to Y/A stories or adaptations, but this worked beautifully.

A decent film with some re-watch ability, but the 4k truly shines, especially with all of the darkness in this transfer. Definitely a worthy pickup when the price is cheap enough.

The picture quality was great. The movie itself was entertaining enough. It’s not every gory or violent. Definitely tailored for a younger, teenage audience but was still entertaining even as an adult.

Based on a set of books that I’ve never heard of, has a young adult vibe in a good way. Nice jumps, hopefully there will be more. PQ WAS SHARP Had great use of sound effects. Very well done movie. Really enjoyed in 4k

Got it purely for the nostalgia and that I am around my friend's kids a lot so this is a good beginner horror movie for them. There are a couple scenes though that gave me the newbies, so that was nice!

I was afraid this movie was for kids, and maybe to some extent it is, for big kids/young adults, but it works for adults too. The ending gets a little complicated toward the end, but not a bad movie.

This 4K release of Scary Stories is leap and bounds better that the 1080p version. This is worth the upgrade if you have the Blu-ray version and love this movie.

Having grown up with the books, I could not WAIT to see the movie. For a PG-13 film, its really well done and has a lot of thrills and chills. I couldn't wait to own it. The steelbook is very well done as well. Recommended.

This movie surprised me. Usually, I only respond favorably to movies R-rated or higher. However, this one looks gorgeous, has amazing audio, and uses tension and suspense very well.

Of the best that there is in the Horror area, the sound, the special effects and the somber tonality of the colors deserve that we have this in the video section.

Feels like an 80s version of kids against legitimate monsters. Threats of death loom, but the coming-of-age heart remains. Truly dug this film as it feels like they don't make 'em like this anymore.

The movie is pretty good, but what makes this movie so great is the 4k transfer. It looks absolutely phenomenal. If you're looking for a movie to showcase your new 4k TV or player, this is a great choice!

Any movie that Guillermo del Toro is involved in, is guaranteed to give plenty of chills and thrills along with a good story. I am a big fan and after watching this film will continue to be.

You can tell that the filmmakers put in effort behind this movie and didn't settle for pure jump scares over tone and atmosphere. It won't keep you up at night but it's definitely entertaining.

I didn't know how they would make these short stories into a movie. They did it and I was very pleased. I wish I could have seen more of the stories/monsters of the books come to life. Sequels perhaps? I hope so.

You gotta get this for Halloween movie night, who ever made this movie needs to reimagine the old campfire stories and bring them to life. Also, I hope they make a second edition of this movie.
