Better than expected! This was a pleasant surprise. It’s a pretty straight forward movie that sets up a potential sequel.

I loved the books and I was surprised that I liked the movie more than I did, scary, funny, creepy and likeable. I give this movie two thumbs up

I wish I could say the film was scary but if you're above the age of 10 then you probably will be intrigued by the fun visuals but there's nothing really scary about this film...nor is the film adaptation all that compelling. That said, this is clearly mean for much younger audiences...essentially horror for kids, if such a thing exists, and it apparently does.

I remember reading these books and hearing the different stories when I was a kid. It was cool how they incorporated it into a film.

Great horror flick for the teens or the weak at heart. Well casted and the ghouls are greatly created by Del Toro. The ending should have gone better.
