Plot Synopsis: Pacifica Casull is the "Scrapped Princess" who, according to the prophecies of the god Mauser, will bring about the end of the world on her 16th birthday. The Church tried to exterminate her at birth, but failed. She is now under the protection of her adopted siblings, a master swordsman named Shannon, and a powerful mage named Raquel. Scrapped princess first presents itself as a fantasy show, but it eventually shows that it is much more than just that. It mixes elements of Science Fiction and Mecha later in the story. It's really a sort of The Matrix meets Lord of the Rings, and it works. DVD Packaging: Standard Bandai collection box with a folding plastic leaflet page to hold the DVDs. You won't have to worry about them coming off in the case and getting scratched up, as a matter of fact, they might hold the disks a little too firmly. No physical extras or inserts. DVD Extras: Sparse. You'll get Bandai previews, Clean opening/Closing, and DVD Credits. For Parents: Contains no nudity, very little blood, and little swearing.

Scrapped Princess is a well developed story about a young girl who is born with a sad fate. For Pacifica, the Scrapped Princess, is doomed to be the "poison that will destroy the world." Cast off as an infant, Pacifica is raised by her foster family, the Casulls. After the death of her parents, Pacifica, and her foster brother and sister, Shannon and Raquel, set off on a journey for both the safety of Pacifica as well as to find out the truth behind the prophecy that surrounds her. This is an excellent anime, which is an entertaining watch that is well worth the hours of investment. There are aspects of drama, action, romance, and humor throughout the anime. Scrapped Princess is a good addition for the anime fan's collection.

After seeing the first disc I gave this series a 3 star however as the story progressed I became more and more intrigued. As others have said this mixes the perfect amount of action and character development. I will not dive to deep into the story because you need to see it to believe it. The weapons, or dragoons, are by far some of the coolest characters; I saw emotion come from them that I did not expect. The characters are deep and moving; Pacifica, Shannon, and Raquel are the closest siblings I have ever seen in anime and I love it! No matter what that world throws at them they always stand side by side ready and waiting to over come it. I loved the sibling rivalry between Pacifica and Shannon it was picture perfect and I could tell even while they fought that they truly cared for one another. Raquel is the balance between the two she can get angry but only when it is absolutely necessary. Moving on though the end was very well done and I did enjoy it I don’t know of a better way to wrap up the story. This is by far one of the more complete series that I have ever watched. Pick it up and take a look!

One in my favorite collection of anime. Funny, great sense of adventure and exciting in every episode. A definite recommended show.

This anime is really good. It's about a girl that is the "poison" that will destroy the world. Her foster brother and sister are her bodyguards.
