I absolutely love scream five, what a fantastic film the visuals were pretty good, it’s weird his mood is not offer Dolby Atmos on the disk, but it does in streaming.

Young people today couldn't possibly understand the impact the original Scream had on audiences 26 years ago. It was a fantastic one and done, and should have stayed that way. Scream 2022, which is really just Scream 5, is better than it has any right to be, but not as could as it could be. I went into this not really expecting much, but came out pleasantly surprised. There's a lot of smart deconstructing of modern horror tropes, and this one's main focus is on the deconstruction of the current trend of "requels" - glorified reboots that retain just enough elements of the original's lore to classify as something of a sequel. The directing duo of Matt Bettinelli-Olpin & Tyler Gillett "get" what made Scream work, so my fears were assuaged. Wes Craven, who passed away in 2015, had helmed the last four Scream films, and if the master of horror himself were still alive, I think he'd be proud of what Olpin & Gillett accomplished. The kills are brutal, the score is great, the movie looks stunning, and the meta commentary feels spot-on. The biggest issue here, and it's really just nitpicking, honestly, is that there's nothing more to do with these movies. Some characters live, some characters die, there are twists and turns and reveals, but, by movie five, you've been here before. Several times before, in fact. And while Scream 5 does those things better than several previous entries, it does some of those things worse as well. Fans will enjoy the respect it has for the legacy cast and the events preceding this film, but I think the ones that will enjoy it the most will be newcomers with no prior knowledge of the franchise. It's a decent Scream sequel, but a really great slasher flick.

Great picture and sound, very good sequel. Features are a little light and short but otherwise good buy at Christmas time.
