My husband loves this movie. It is different than watching it on tv though. There is some bad language.

"Scrooged" is one of the best top ten holiday comedies ever produced on the big screen. It is a spoof of Charles Dickens "A Christmas Carol" with dialogue and sight gags which provides plenty of laughter. And Carol Kane as the ghost of Christmas present was laugh out loud funny. The sound track is great too with many memorable tunes and medleys. If this film doesn't put you in the Christmas spirit, nothing will. Don't miss it!

What else can be said that hasn't already been said about this late 80's Yuletide classic? It's become a staple amongst moviegoers and cinema fans alike every holiday season and for good reason. It's a film that take's the classic Dickens tale and updates it with a great deal of style and flair. Bill Murray is a joy to watch, even when he's demeaning his co-workers, and the remainder of the ensemble cast doesn't fall short either! The Blu Ray unfortunately is lacking in pretty much every department as far as extras go, but provides a solid video/audio presentation. This is a film that deserves better! If the price is right and you don't have the DVD, snag it, if not, I'm sure a better edition is down the road somewhere!

I mostly got this to get the digital copy to insure I have the almighty Bill Murray on the go, because when this movie was made, they couldn't fathom the high definition that is our standard today, so the blu ray copy isn't necessary, although it is pretty sweet. The holidays aren't complete without watching this film at least once in my house, and this is the best version out there. The digital copy insures I get to enjoy this whenever, wherever, holidays or not, so this is truly a must have for the movie collection, and if you're not a Bill Murray fan, you don't really have any business watching movies in the fist place ;o)

One of the best Christmas movies ever. A must at Christmas time.

This is a hilarious take on Dickens' classic. Murray is great as the modern day Scrooge. All of the actors are great in this besides Murray: Alfre Woodard, Karen Allen, and all of the ghosts are great. My favorite ghost is the Ghost of the Past- he's hysterical. This movie is inappropriate for kids, though. I first saw a relatively cleaned up version of this movie in 1996 when I was nine, and I really enjoyed it. So, just be aware that the full edition of this movie is for teens and adults. Anyway, it's just not Christmas without this hilarious, and I think, the most successful reinterpretation of Dickens' work.

If you're A Christmas Carol & 80s comedy fan, this is a must add to your annual Christmas DVD viewing. Bill Murray is at his over-the-top best as an obnoxious, politically incorrect, TV exec (aka Ebeneezer Scrooge), and has an excellent supporting cast (Robert Mitchum, John Forsythe, David Johansen, Carol Kane, & Bobcat Goldthwait, and of course, Karen Allen, to name a few). To many 80s references to count so those not familiar will miss some of the humor. Still a great laugh after all these years. Celebrate your Christmas holiday with Bill & friends!

This is such a laugh riot if you can reference the different stages of the film to every cameo of celebrity that shows up in the film. The ghost of Marley, his business partner, makes you think of what Trump may be considering as he trolls the golf courses again. Karen Allen nearly steals the show still staying true to the Scrooged/Murray character in act two. Carol Kane (perfect casting there on Jim Henson's part) describes what it is like to get missle-TOE, wham!!! Right on the foot. I could go on & on, but I won't, other than the questionable choice of Mary Lou Retton as Tiny Tim?

Very funny and great movie classic Bill murray movie

This review is not about the actual movie itself, which is modern-day Christmas staple, but about the packaging. At under $10 for both the DVD & Blu-ray discs it's a steal. BUT, be warned the included digital download will only work on iTunes, VUDU, or Sony's own Ultraviolet digital copy service. NO direct ability to add this to Movies Anywhere's digital library.

First saw this in theaters as a kid. Fun film! Not exactly a kid's movie (especially not by today's standards), but more of an adult holiday movie with some laugh. Recommend picking it up to watch during Christmas time

If you’re tired of the usual Christmas movie treacle, put this in your player. At my place, it’s in the top 3 Christmas movies watched every year: “A Christmas Story”, “Die Hard” and “Scrooged”. For my money, Bill Murray’s best film. Of course, if a twisted spin on a holiday classic is not your cup of eggnog, be advised to look elsewhere.

This year my boys were FINALLY old enough to watch one of my favorite holiday movies EVER! Bill Murray is a scream and there's an amazing supporting cast. I wouldn't suggest it for kids under 12 (they wouldn't understand most of the really funny parts anyway) and some of the pop culture references are dated but it really doesn't matter - - one of Bill Murray's best!

Definitely a classic movie not because of it being based on Scrooge, but by Bill Murrays great performance. I’ve always loved this film and having it be based around modern(ish) times rather than in the 1800’s gives it a bit of a new flair from the typical Scrooge adaptations. If you’ve never seen, then now would be a good time.

I've had this movie in one form or another since it became available on the home market. One of Bill Murray's best films, and it's a great twist on Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol". Well worth adding to your collection!

I love this movie! If you haven't seen it but enjoy a comedy twist to a classic tale, this movie is perfect. Bill Murray is always fantastic but really outdoes himself as a TV CEO producing a live version of Scrooge and having the three ghosts of Christmas visit him in real life. Great fun for the whole family!

While not his best or best rated/reviewed film (perhaps due to writing and production) Scrooged is an enjoyable holiday movie for fans of Bill Murray. He carries the film and makes you wonder how many of his lines were improvised. Murray's wit and delivery make up for what the film may lack in other areas.

Bought this for my aunt after she lost her copy. Was reluctant to watch it with her since it was an older movie but it was actually very funny. My 11 and 15 year old boys even enjoyed it and it is difficult to find a movie the whole family can enjoy. Wouldn't recommend it for younger children though
