The overall quality of the device is fantastic. The joysticks are full size which gives a near console controller feel. If your camera bump allows the phone to sit flush with the bottom the controller is balanced well. If you need to use the adapter and you have a bigger phone it can feel a bit top heavy but something you get used to.

The scuf Nomad is a great controller if you are really into mobile games! my main concern is how loose the joysticks feel for being hall-effects, overall though it is a very solid mobile gaming controller and is very comfortable in the hands!

Loved the feel and quality but had to return this because the input lag was very bad. There’s a bunch of reddit posts of other users with the same issue. Controls will randomly lose bluetooth connection making it impossible to aim or do anything in shooter games.

Much better than razer and backbone’s offerings for ergonomics and especially ease of attaching (don’t have to remove iPhone case!). The only potential downside was that it is charged separately but I have not found that be a problem, though im sure it could be a dealbreaker for other people. I have also not felt any input delay for games I play. This is the one!

As far as Bluetooth controllers are concerned, SCUF is already a well-known brand among gamers. It's grip is more comfortable for long gaming sessions compared to the Backbone One, it's programmable rear buttons can make competitive play easier, the adjustable hall effect buttons are a great touch (and are resistant to stick drift), and it's Bluetooth connection makes it compatible with both Lightning and USB-C iPhones. HOWEVER, it's not without its faults. Unlike Backbone controllers, there's no pass through charging for your phone, devices won't really fit securely (unless it's case-less), it's made solely for iPhones (finicky at best when used with Android), and (my biggest gripe if you're a competitive player) the Bluetooth latency is pretty significant compared to my PS5 controller or physically connected options like Riot or Backbone. What's worse is that since the release of the Backbone Pro, the only advantage that the SCUF Nomad still has is its adjustable hall effect thumb sticks. Otherwise, the new Backbone pro has adopted almost all the same features, but with the added benefit of being able to connect both physically (via USB-C) or wirelessly (via Bluetooth). Even the Backbone Pro has adopted the rear programmable rear paddle buttons that SCUF is known for. I could almost overlook the disadvantages of the Nomad if it wasn't for the seemingly slower response time of the wireless connection provided. Because of that, I prefer the Backbone Pro over this offering from SCUF which falls just short of not quite perfect. FYI I tested this (and other controllers) with both an iPhone 15 Pro Max and iPhone 16 Pro Max.

[Employee of bestbuy] I know it said specifically for apple devices, but I assumed since it was just a bluetooth connection I'd be able to use it anyways. The main issue is that it didn't fit my phone but I won't fault it for that since it wasn't designed with my phone in mind. The real buzzkill is that it requires an app to use that's only available on the apple app store, controller doesn't function properly without it. Might be a great option if you have an iphone and want to install another app but if you want to avoid installing extra software I'd skip it.

I haven’t use it a lot but one thing I can tell you. The quality of this controller is better than the quality of the Backbone. At least on the way the controller feels. The buttons and the joysticks feel a lot better. The one good thing about the Backbone is the app and they way you get access to the games.

I bought it as a present for my 15 year old grandson. He really liked it. I know he wasn't just saying that as he spent a good part of Christmas afternoon playing with it rather than any of the other activities going on.

Works well and fits an iPhone 16 pro Max with case. I've played Fallout 3 via Xbox Cloud on the iPhone with no latency. Can be a little pricey if not on sale - purchased mine for $69 which seems right.

Incredible feel to a simple device. I love the look and feel, it adds almost a luxury feeling when playing any game. My wife uses it mostly to play nba2k and I’ve heard no complaints, only praise for it!

After initial set up, this worked very well as expected. Firm feel and weight is appropriate for use over an extended period of time.
