Hours of fun in the high seas. Great water effects and very fun to play with friends

The game is great for multiple players. would like a better single player mode.

My friends and I play this for several hours each weekend and have a blast the entire time. However, playing alone can get very boring, so I'd say it's almost a requirement to have friends who have the game. If you do play by yourself, there is an option to play with another random player or multiple other players. I haven't tried that experience yet, but overall this game is just good fun.

Fun with friends. You want the four player team/boat if you want to do the PvP aspect, otherwise, not the great. Cool concept of having a team to operate the boats.

As far as casual multiplayer only games go, this is definitely one to keep an eye on. This game really shines when working as a crew, but can be tolerable as a single pirate on a sloop!

Theres currently not alot of content, but I still play it almost everyday because its been fun playing with friends. Theyre releasing new content soon that should make things more fun.

As a Christmas gift for my son. He really seems to love it. Has a lot of different characters in different levels. Game also is not too violent

The game has great combat, fun raids, and looks amazing. I’ve spent hundreds of hours scoring my plunder and still have more to do to get everything I want. There are no stats so everyone is on a level playing field - all upgrades are only cosmetic. I play it for the ship combat and competition for some of the rarest loot. I recommended to my friend and he’s been loving it as much as me.

It could really use some single player features. I knew going into it that I would have to pair up with three random people online since none of my friends have the game. My experiences with random people have ranged from fun and exciting to poor and random. Some people just want to mess around while others take the game at least semi-seriously. Overall, I'm keeping the game for now and will hope they add more single player content in the future. Maybe it'll be a Destiny type game where the good stuff comes later on.

This game lets you be a pirate, pure and simple. The ocean looks beautiful and makes me wish I had a 4k setup. This game requires an online connection (and xbox live if playing on an xbox game system) and is best when played co-op. The biggest drawback is that Microsoft did not give you some free xbox live time with the game. Microsoft should have given out a 7 day pass with it.

My son saw someone playing this on YouTube. He thought it looked fun and decided to ask for it for Christmas. Well, he loves it. Quite possibly his favorite present! Arrived quickly as well. Much appreciated as presents we ordered earlier (another company) didn't make it in time for Christmas.

Fun game but you need to play with friends to make it fun, does get repetitive and the point of getting coins is just to buy outfits, needs to have weapon upgrades somehow

for an XBOX newb, this looks to be pretty fun, once you get the hang of it and can automatically select the different controls. If you are playing solo, you need to be able to multi-task continually. If you play co-op, this is only co-op online and you MUST have a headset to communicate what is, and needs to be done. There is no real tutorial on what you should be doing or where you are going. Best to watch some YouTube walkthroughs, bother before and after you purchase the game. I'm withholding a fifth star as I'm not sure I like the trolls that keep interrupting your game online.

Sea of thieves is one of a kind, a very rare game that will be a sea of joy for some, and a strange and empty game, that lack some of the basics of modern games for others. For me it's a total success, a game that has filled the hours I've spend playing it with plenty of unforgettable moments.

I bought this not knowing what to expect but it’s been good so far. I liked the fact that it was a pirates game so I wanted to give it a shot. Happy I did.

Graphics are amazing and the pvp/pve and treasure hunting is great but you soon start to realize their isn't really any end game content. Your playing for cosmetics

Great game to play with friends not much story but fun to play

Getting a group of friends online to pirate around for a while is a blast thus far. Hopefully content updates are on the way soon. The scenery is beautiful too.

Great game overall, with friends and a decent crew. But not very easy to play solo, when you can't get those slacking, working, adulting gamer friends online when you are. It is manageable, but not easy, and you have to completely change your play-style to fit the solo strategies. But overall, great game, really fun to play. Definitely recommend.

Really fund multiplayer game to play with a few friends. Endlessly entertaining with tons of things to do - it eats up hours!
