I bought this drive to put in my Playstation 3, and it works great so far. They originally shipped out the PS3s with Momentus drives in them, so you know these will work great, just higher capacity. I have tried the Momentus XT in my PS3 (the old 60GB fat version) and that did not perform well, a lot of stutter and lag issues. However, none of those issues exist with the 1TB Momentus I put in. It is only 5400rpm, so it is not as fast as other laptop hard drives or solid state drives, but that isn't a fair comparison anyway. Since it is a lower rpm, its access times are lower, however, its power consumption, heat dissipation, and noise are lower as well. Sometimes lower is better. Therefore, I would also recommend it for laptops where battery life and more storage are a priority, or for using in a portable external enclosure. I am not brand loyal when it comes to hard drives, I have had and been happy with drives from the other big name brands, so my recommendation is not just because I prefer Seagate over any other. If you want lots of space, low power consumption and less heat, I would definitely recommend the Seagate Momentus. However, if you want speed, then go for a SSD or 7200rpm drive. Cons: I believe that it could have been a little cheaper ($10 less). If you can wait for a deal or a coupon to get this under $75, then it is well worth it.

Quadrupled my storage space for $100. Installation was easy once I got the the proper tools (Phillips #00, Torx T6). Used the trial version of SuperDuper! to copy data from old HD to the new HD (inside an enclosure), tested it, opened up the MBP, took out the old HD, popped in the new HD and it was ready to rock.

I bought this product for my PS4. It was a easy install and had no issues.

I wanted to upgrade my 500GB hard drive that came with my MacBook Pro to a 1TB drive. I found this drive at Best Buy and loved the price. I purchased it and took it home. Did a final time machine backup of my existing hard drive, took the laptop apart and removed the 500GB drive, put the 1TB hard drive in its place and reassembled the computer. I then followed the apple instructions to boot the macbook in maintenance/recovery mode and after a little while it came to life with a prompt to restore the system from a time machine backup. I connected the time machine drive (also a seagate) and it restored without issue. I have been running on this new 1TB hard drive for about a month now with no issues and it is great!

Bought for an old Dell Inspiron laptop and works great!

I bought this product to replace my hdd in my PS3 Slim, although the stock hdd was working fine. This hdd by Seagate is compatible and works well with the PS3 Slim. The ease of installation was phenomenal. This is a well trusted brand and works well to sufficiently add drive space. If you are wanting to buy a new hdd for your PS3 Slim this product will work for you and you will not be disappointed. Add that to the fact that it is on sale at Best Buy and I say you will be one happy camper for a long time to come.

I purchased this drive for my mid-2010 MacBook Pro running Mountain Lion to replace the 500 GB drive. It was easy to install. I know other people have complained about installing it on thI have been usee Mac. The problem is not the drive, but that it is formatted for Windows, not for OS X. Information about reinstalling OS X is on Apple's Web site and is a very easy process, especially if you have backed up your old drive first. I have been using this drive for about 2 months now and have had no problems. It runs flawlessly.

This drive works great as an upgrade to the ps4's 500gb hard drive. That may sound like a lot of space, but with all the games now requiring about 50gb of install space that is going to fill up fast. I figured it would be easier to replace at the start rather than wait till it's nearly full down the road. Install could not be any easier. Highly recommended.

If you're planning on buying a PS4, you might as well expect to spend another $100 and buy this hard drive. The 500 GB HD on PS4 only holds about 12 games, so unless you want to start deleting saves, then buy this. I've installed this Seagate HD and it works fine with my PS4.

I needed a drive quick, had no preference in brand. Came to the store found this drive for $49.99, took to check out it came up more, but because it was marked wrong they sold it to me for the price I found it for. Got home installed the drive, reinstalled OS and thank god for Time Machine got everything back and no problems since.

Great laptop hard drive. Needed to replace a failing one before it but the dust. Was able to duplicate it seamlessly.

Had bought this for my fiancé birthday present. We needed more memory so we decided to swap out the 500gb in our stock PS4 for this 1 TB HD. Its getting the job done just fine. Don't have any complaints on the price or the performance.

Bought one of these for my server, but had to put it in my laptop. It has worked great and thought I would get a replacement drive.

Got this to replace a drive that had failed in a friends laptop, not as fast as the original one, but for the price and size it was hard to beat at a moment's notice.

Its pretty good harddrive that i needed for my mac and its really small.

What a big improvement in having this new hard drive installed.
