Bought this as an upgrade for the 500GB stock HDD that comes with the PS4. Have to say, definitely pleased. Unfortunately SSD is just too new still, and too expensive. If you're an avid gamer, then you're surely realizing 500GB is just not enough, and you will need 1TB+. SSD cards in that size range anywhere from $250-$350. Simply not worth it. Not when the PS4K/Neo on the horizon. Sony has yet to confirm what size HDD that will come with. And I just cant justify spending that kind of money just to cut down on loading screens, when I could buy an entire new PS4 for that price. I did extensive research and batted the idea around for days before deciding it was just smarter to invest in this, an SSHD, than spend the money on an SSD. If you choose to do the same you will not be disappointed. So far 1TB has been plently, and though the speed differences will not shatter records or blow your mind, they are noticeable in certain respects. You will have ample space, a reliable fast HD, and your wallet will thank you later. My only suggestion would be research other models of this SSHD. I found the same drive, only with 32GB SSD memory, as opposed to the 8GB this has, for $25 more. Unfortunately I found it after buying this one. Had I known that beforehand I would gone with the 32.

Great upgrade for my mac laptop. Worked like a charm on first install. My first SSHD and huge improvement from my previous traditional disk. I can't compare with SSD as I never had one. But for the price and capacity, excellent purchase.

This is a very good upgrade from the oem hard drive that Sony has in their Playstation 4.The storage is big enough to store much of your games and DLC. It is a very easy hardware install and installing the sony software on it was easy also. The price is good, though sometimes you can probably find someone having a sale on this or something similar.

Put this in a 12 year old Dell Laptop which was really slowing down. Replaced an older 750gb drive. Boot times now down to about 20 secs and overall performance has improved. Not as fast as an SSD but still, very good investment

This 1TB SSHD loads my OS and Applications very fast. I installed this in a Sony Vaio with a i5 processor and ATI Radeon. This product has made it much easier to record video, edit photos and video, and honestly the overall use of the computer is much smoother now. I do work in the I.T. field and can say that, It's a great product, and you cannot beat the price.

I used this to upgrade my PS4, it could not have worked out better. It's a perfect fit and im pretty certain my PS4 is now faster, quieter and the upgraded storage is nice.

Super easy install if you aren't afraid to take apart a MacBook pro...make sure doing so Doesnt void your warranty. Very very quiet and noticeably faster than standard HDD. The only reason I was stingy with the last star is because this is my second one of these...the first one pooped out after about a year. Hoping it was a fluke.

I bought this hard drive to replace a smaller one in my laptop. Transfer of data went great and the hard drive is faster than old one, probably due to the SSD portion of the hard drive. Excellent drive for the money!

Purchased this drive to replace a WD drive that was running a little too slow in my Lenovo Edge. Used to have an SSD drive but multiple failures forced me to go back to a mechanical. Cloned drive using Easeus To Do and popped in the notebook. After a few days drive has optimized and is running noticeably faster than the previous WD drive but not as fast as an SSD obviously. For the sub $100 price tag and 1TB of storage along with the increased performance would recommend this drive if you are going to stick with a non-SSD. Would estimate performance is about 50% faster than the previous drive. Boot time has increased, login and application launch has all improved.

Bought this for my PS4, made a huge improvement in performance and gave me double the space. After only a year of ownership, my old HDD was full, so this was a required upgrade for me and I am very happy.

We were looking for a safe alternative to upgrading a broken HDD on our computer that would provide better performance without breaking the bank. Originally we wanted to go full SSD, but the cost of this hybrid drive was great in comparison and still had potential for great performance. We couldn't be happier! Computer starts much faster, programs open much faster, and retrieving data is smooth and fast as well. Eventually this computer will surely have other parts break as it goes and gets older, but it's nice to know the SSD part of the hybrid saves a ton of labor from the HDD so this should last much longer and will make it easy to do a seamless transfer to a new computer later down the road!

I bought this item without really knowing what to aspect. I needed a hard drive for my PS4 and I did a lot of research on hybrid drives. So, I have it my PS4, install was easy because I have an IT back ground. Everything is working great, PS4 moves a little faster, I can't until they setup NAS abilities on PS4.

Had to replace an SSD that was having boot issues in my 2008 MBP. Used Super Duper with the old drive that the SSD replaced to get a clean boot image. Just have to transfer the files off the SSD to the hybrid. Boots about as quick as the SSD did, before it got flakey. Also doubled my storage capacity.

My original hard drive crashed, and bought this as a replacement. Works well, added storage to my system, and the SSD added some speed as well.

Hybrid drive provides a definite boost for launching applications and cut Windows 7 boot time from 1 minute + to 30 seconds or so. This is a nice drive and a good compromise when you need more capacity than a pure SSD can provide. I replaced the stock 320 GB drive in an older HP Entertainment laptop with this drive and there is a noticeable performance difference. This drive is a great choice if you want to upgrade a standard drive to gain some of the benefits of solid state, but still need greater capacity than current solid state drives provide (at an affordable price).

Easy to install and a massive upgrade of speed mostly, but also battery life. I bought it when my internal hard drive died in my MacBook pro 15".

No problems during the install. I have definitely noticed the improvements in speed. Finally gave me the opportunity to dual boot Mac and Windows comfortably without sacrificing space.

My old drive failed. This one installed very easily and has been working great for 3 weeks now. Seems to be a little faster and quieter than the factory drive I replaced (Hitachi).

I bought this hard drive to replace the stock one in my PS4. It gives me twice the storage capacity and the loading speed for my games has definitely increased. I'm glad I upgraded.
