This is so easy to use and for the price, you can not beat it. Lets go back 20 years and look at technology then. This would have only been a dream, a dream for the price and a dream for the simplicity of the use. I give it an all around Excellent!

You don't need to be any kind of tech geek to use this. Just plug it in and you're good to go! It's also sleek and stylish, if that kind of thing matters to you.

very good for the price.. have owned it for a month already and no problemas at all... the only thing and i believe it was my fault is that i never checked if it was Mac compatible... and it is not... i downloaded a software called paragon something and problem solved.. now i can use the HD on my pc and mac with no issues....

This external hard drive is an excellent value. Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit instantly recognized it and loaded the drivers in less than 4 seconds. This is my fourth Seagate HDD, two internals and two externals. Never had any failures of any kind with Seagate drives. Bottom line . . . Great product, great price!

This is a wonderful hard drive. It is very easy to use and the size is just perfect for complementing a laptop.

I'm now forced to use Norton Security which requires regular backups so I needed a fast method to store backed up information. Using CD's was being coming cumbersome so I needed a good way to store information. The Seagate hard drive was a super way of accomplishing the task. If you need to store files, I strongly recommend the Seagate Hard Drive. Buying via Best Buy was so easy and quick. The price was right via the net!! Ed

This was pretty to use. I'm not computer savvy, so with no REAL directions, I was a little unsure how to use it at first. But, it is an awesome little hard drive. Doesn't take up space, very convenient!!

The drive worked great right out of the box. I was able to back up files from two computers (laptop & desktop, both running windows xp) with no problems and relatively quick download times.

Very simple to use. I use it primarily to store music and past files I've worked on that I don't want to keep on my netbook. Works great!

THe seagate external hard drive was easy to use just hook up the USB cable and use. I would like it to be a little faster.

It's a great external harddrive, what more can I say? It's doing what I bought it to do - store old documents/pics, etc.

I was in the market for an external hard drive to back up my computer and came across this little beauty on sale at bestbuy.com. It wasn't carried in stores yet because it's new and it beat out the prices even on all of their in-store models with shipping included. Very simple to use, though I had to get a free backup software program online to help out; not a very big deal. It holds almost double the storage of my computer hard drive, so it's plenty big for me. Pretty much does exactly what I want and now I don't have to worry about my computer crashing and losing everything.

The price was much lower than others, and the prior reviews really made buying the Seagate a no brainer. No installation of software! Just plug in and its ready to be used. The size is pretty small compared to how big they were a few years ago. I'm very happy with my purchase and already have recommended it to a few people.
