It's too soon to score long term reliability, but all else has been great. An SSD is much faster and quieter than this drive, but this drive excels at storing large files that would crowd your SSD, is pretty darn quiet, and ain't no slouch

Good drive at a good price

The supplied directions were very good if you've never installed a drive before. This drive is being used as media storage and is doing a fine job. Happy with my purchase.

Great drive for RAID1
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This drive is an exact match for the Seagate 2TB drive that came in my Dell XPS 8700 - in RAID1 with a mSATA cache the performance is impressive! OTOH, the drive in the box was a st2000dm001-1ch164, and you may buy the bare drive for less elsewhere. The included SATA-III cable, SATA-to-Molex power cable adapter, SeaTools CD, and the no-BS 2-year warranty on the boxed drive does lessen the pain, though.

Great Performance for a reasonable price

I Have always been a fan of seagate compared to the others. Installed on 10.6 with no problem. Runs high track count without breaking a sweat. Good bang for buck.

Great 2TB HDD

However in the store the item said it came with a SATA cable, it was a minor disappointment after I ripped open the box to hurry up and install my O/S and everything else that no SATA cable was to be found.
