After reading specs from different drive manufacturer sites and reviews, decided to go with this drive. Not the largest, but large enough for the data growth I expect. The specs, warranty, reviews, and cost per GB helped me make this choice. Been using drive (as a secondary drive - primary is ssd) for a month now, and can say it is functioning as expected without any issue.

My daughters computer harddrive failed and I needed to replace it. Researched this drive and at the price it looked like a great deal. Connected easily and worked with no problem.

I needed a bigger drive in my desktop computer case running Windows 10. Seagate instructions provides a llink to an Acronis download. I put the drive in a USB holder and then used Acronis to clone the drive. When cloning it is seems to work best if one checks the box to shut down the computer when completed. I would suggest that one be sure that all Windows 10 updates have been installed before cloning. The cloning went without a problem. I opened the case disconnected the old smaller drive, installed the new Seagate and it booted after about 3 to minutes without any problem. It was a successful upgrade.

Only had this in my machine for a month or so, but it's working great so far. It's my secondary HD for music (over 230 GB worth) and other large file storage. Works great, fast, plays my music pretty quickly. As long as it holds up, I'll be a happy boy.

Fast easy to install well priced. Install this on a Mac pro worked fantastic it's fast doesn't make much noise and seems reliable so far no problems would recommend

Extremely easy to install and works perfectly as a second hard drive. I have been saving photos and videos and I haven't had many problems when editing them with Adobe Premiere and Photoshop

It needs to be formatted before it can be detected. Once that is done, can image the old to this new HD, then works great. Very quiet, fast. Well worth the price.

Well rated drive, works fast now, I'll let you know about longevity in a few years! Quick, easy installation- replaced old drive that quit after about 7 years.

Bought this drive to replace an ailing 600GB drive (mfg in 2009) before it dies. I tend to go with Seagate as a rule of thumb, as they tend to have a much longer service life. At least in my experience. Also, my dealings with the company, when necessary, have always been good.

My original hard drive was corrupted. The Geek Squad recommended this product to replace it, and said that I could probably complete the install myself as long as I had the installation disks. I'm no expert, but they were absolutely right. Success - without paying extra!

Great software, plug 'n play. So far it's been a dream external hard drive, no noise, well ventilated, powers via a single USB port, with 2 Terabyte storage for under $100 on sale.

Hard Drive works well in the computer it was installed in.

Seagate - 2TB Internal Serial ATA Hard Drive for Desktops was a good purchase. Plenty of space to hold my old files that i need to keep. Good price too.

It worked out of the box, run quietly, no problems so far.
