Dependable Hard Drive

Great for my purpose

Since I archive all my photos in RAW format, 2TB is a great size. Not so small that I'm continually having to buy a new drive and not so big that I have all my eggs in one basket. (I also back-up all to an external.) It's fast and efficient for my purpose. Knock on wood, I've had no hiccups with it. When it fills, I'll replace it with another just like it and store this in a waterproof and fireproof place.

I have never had any problems with Seagate
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have always had good luck with Seagate, I have a 20gb in an older computer that still purrs like the day it was bought. All my externals have been Seagate and the only one that crapped out on me was one I dropped from a height of about 3 feet. I am not getting 6Gb/s like it says on the box and I know my computer supports it and I went through the BIOS and I thought I had turned that option on but maybe I'm missing something. Even without it It's still pretty quick.

Quick and Quiet

Great for I/O intensive applications
