Bought this to replace my 2TB WD Green
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this after my 2 TB WD Green drive failed only after 2 years in an enclosure, so it wasn't even under constant use. So far I don't really have any complaints about this drive, its fairly quick, feels pretty cool in its enclosure. Only thing that concerned me at first was a small clicking sound on occasion, but this is a different drive and the structure may differ from WD which I have previously used for years so it might very well be normal. Other than that the drive has been great, I'm hoping this one goes beyond 2 years.

Good 2nd Drive was nit plug n play

There was no setup disk and installation instructions left something to be desired. As this is a cable select (no jumpers) had to go into my system files to setup and download software for install and management. Not a big problem and the drive works great, but it is not an out of the box plug n play like hard drives I have previously installed.

A drive with value and reliability
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed to replace a drive that was having S.M.A.R.T errors and basically throwing up messages of impending doom for my current drive. I used the Seagate software to clone my current drive to this one and then booted it up no with no trouble at all. I always choose Seagate drives whenever I need to replace a failing one or upgrade and have not had any issues with performance or reliability yet!
