Not much to say other than the speed of the drive is good. Wakes up well from sleep. Seagate has been around forever. My brother used to work in a seaagate clean room in minneaplolis and was ok to work there and the room was really clean. So guess the drives should be clean too. Ok good drive good price. Nuf said. Unit performs extremely well. Only thing faster are the SSD drives.

I bought a Seagate hardrive years ago, and unlike a majority of products the quality hasn't diminished. The product is well-made, and dependable My only suggestion would be to include necessary hardware in the box. Thank you very much for making a dependable and reasonably priced.product. I'm sure we will be dealing again..

My Samsung video security system hard drive failed. Installed this HDD, booted the system, crossed my fingers and the system started right up. It formatted the drive and continued it's job of recording like nothing had ever happened. This hard drive is double the storage and half the price of the last one I purchased.

I have a 2 drive system. I have a Solid State Drive (SSD) for my OS and programs. Makes things run really fast. And, I have a secondary drive for my data. The secondary drive went out and I bought this to replace it. Keep in mind I am pretty strong when it comes to IT and troubleshooting. However, what should have been an easy setup took about 2 hours because of the specific way I use the 2 drives. There are no jumpers on the new drives, so the next easy way to assign priority is by ribbon placement. I literally unplugged and then plugged the drive into the same places and fired it up expecting it to work. Nope. Cutting to the end, after reviewing the included documentation and going to the manufacturer's site for guidance and after going into the BIOS and checking settings, and doing everything else I could think of, I simply had to go to administrative tools, computer management, disk management and then make sure the system assigned a drive letter to the drive. And, remember that the computer remembers that it used to have another drive on there so you can't just reassign the same letter. I'm running Windows 7 Professional 64. Once it was up and running, it's been like buttah.

I looked around for deals and Best Buy was the only one who had it in stock.. My original was a Barracuda and this was the HDD the same one you'll find in Mac Pro Towers. I don't like using PC's but I feel better knowing I can always pull it out if I ever purchase a used Mac Pro. The price was good as well.

like the extra space it provides...works great! if you're looking for a replacement hard drive this one is a good choice.

My Hp desktop computer would fail for smart short self test. everything i researched led to a failing hard drive. I replaced my 1 tb hard drive with this 2Tb hard drive and my computer now passes its own diagnostics. I used a hard drive copier to transfer the data from one hard drive to the other. it took a little time but it did the job.

I purchased this drive for a backup storage device. I already own 3 others and have had no problems with any of them.

It stores a majority of the stuff I need it to store. Not running it in raid because i am too poor to have multiply hard drives. If you have the money, get at least 4. 3 to run in raid 5 and 1 for back up. its a hard drive, it has moving parts, it will fail eventually. just be prepared that all. it also depends on how valuable your data is.

I bought two of these hard drives to build two used Dell 390 home computers that were missing hard drives. I did not have any problems loading Win8 Home Pro. This hard drive is well matched for the Intel Core-2 Duo on the performance index testing. For what I'm using this is a perfect solution and keeps the cost down and performance up!

I bought this HD to upgrade my original 1TB drive on my late 2009 iMac 27". It seems to be working fine however it may be to soon to write a more definitive and detailed review. The price was the first attraction, I have high hope for this unit since Seagate was the original unit mounted on my computer.

Happy to have this up and working - if all you want is more storage capacity it is great. But if you wanted to migrate OS (64 but Vista) and make this your new boot drive - the tools did not work for my system. And yes, I know what I am doing - spent way too many hours on the Seagate support and FAQ portals trying alternate strategies to no avail - some of the issues I had were due it being the HP OEM installation.

We have a 4-drive SATA RAID array on a 3Ware RAID card. The drive is very fast, and the cost is excellent, however, this is the 2nd replacement for the array within the past 12 months. The heat problem is not really a problem in our system as these drives are in a 24/7 server, that is adequately cooled, and in an air cooled environment.

I needed something to expand my harddrive capacity and to run my music sessions off of and this is great. My Samsung 850 evo running my programs and OS while I have this drive running my sessions and storage for keeping sample libraries and extra sounds is a real nice combination and works flawlessly
