Customers express satisfaction with the 2TB Seagate hard drive's performance, large storage capacity, ease of use, and competitive price. Many also found installation straightforward and the drive to be quiet. While some experienced issues with the warranty and the lack of included SATA cables and mounting screws, these concerns were less frequently reported than positive feedback.

As soon as I connected this drive, it was very sluggish and unusable. A scan for errors showed that the drive had an error. Luckily I had Acronis DriveCleanser that came with a backup drive I own and was able to use it to perform a thorough wipe of the drive contents. After the wipe, the drive currently works well. All that aside, I like this drive and would buy it again.

Not a bad deal for 2TB of storage. Startup is a little slow though, but all around it truly is a "Best Buy".

I really would rather have a solid state hard drive (using for a camera system), but cost is still to high and I am not even sure you can get a 2 Gb solid state drive. This is the next best thing. I have used WD's and have had failures before (including the one that came with the camera system).

I purchased it and tested it in one of my systems. I am currently not using it, but have plans to set it up to host my movie files. It will go in a white box pc I'm building.
Seagate makes some of the best hard drives around. I bought this at a slightly discounted rate when it was on sale. Great buy.

This drive turned out to be an excellent replacement for one of my PCs after the original drive failed. I was able to use the Seagate drive without a hitch. So far it's been working fine. BestBuy's price was also competitive to an online merchant so I decided to go with BestBuy.

This is a nice drive to have as a backup. I purchased this a long time ago and its still running strong. If you have allot of pictures and music you will find this has plenty of room for that.

Was looking for a direct replacement for my HP Pavilion desktop. This drive fit the bill. Came with software to transfer data. The software and the installation were extremely simple. Because of the 2 TB size, it took about two hours for install and data transfer.

It's mass storage, what is there to say?!?! As long as the write speed is adequate, I'm fine with this product for the foreseeable future.

Seagate in my experience has always trumped WD for reliability. I have had about 3 of each drive and experience more failures on WD drives in the same price range than I do with Seagate.

To preface, I work in IT. My ratings are based on the experience I have accrued while working in a production environment.
I purchased this drive for my home computer. I do not want to come home every day to a problematic PC; I deal with computer problems enough at work.
There is a history at work with competing products-- Western Digital drives fail, given my history with them, and at a very consistent rate. They are notorious, and are the butt of many disgruntled jokes.
Seagates, on the other hand, are very reliable, at least in our users' workstations. They trend better than their WD contemporaries; they outlast the others over a given lifespan. To be specific, I RMA Seagate drives far less than I RMA WD drives. My company is in the process of replacing all HDDs with Seagate drives as a result of our frustrations.
So, when confronted with a personal choice, I opted Seagate. I want the peace-of-mind that my drive will not throw beep-codes at boot, especially because I need to trust a manufacturer with my data.
