I went with this over the other brand because of the price difference. The packaging was also labeled to answer all my questions while it was necessary for me to research the basics on the competitor. Great Buy until I can afford the SSD swaps.

Picked this unit up on sale, just your typical desktop 7200 RPM drive. Using 6 of them in a NAS backup server.

working well after a couple of months. Using 2 of them in a Raid.

Great Hard Drive, fast and the Seagate Disc program helped me move all my files over from my old C drive onto this new drive. This new drive is now my C drive and it's huge. Kept my old C drive as a D drive backup. Just couldn't have been easier.

I had an external drive box but no drive for it. Purchased this for that box. It was easy to install and format. Worked right away. Helped me salvage years of photos from my main drive which was starting to fail.

My old hard drive was giving signs of going bad, so since I had online backup service, I went with this as my 2 TB replacement. It fit inside as an exact replacement and has performed flawlessly. Got it on sale too.

I have been running these drives in multiple servers which hold critical data in RAID arrays. On average, these drive last around 5 years and I have had no issues with them. Occasionally you may get a drive which doesn't last so long (around 8 months or so). Buy the warranty and you should be good to go.

You can see the performance between a stock 5400 rpm hard drive and this 7200 rpm drive. I will not upgrade a customers computer with a 5400 rpm hard drive even if that is what I am replacing. Can't beat it!

With my video and music libraries growing over the years, this 2TB drive allows my to continue to expand both. Although the PC I'm using makes it easy to replace a secondary drive, I quickly had this piece of hardware up and running.

The price for 2 TB of storage was great. Purchased to backup up system prior to upgrade from Vista to Windows 8.1. Performed as expected and allowed me to upgrade with confidence that I could restore to Vista if problems arose.

Seagate is my go-to brand whenever I need a hard drive.

This is great for making Win Images/backups. More than enough space for multiple PC's or Laptops. Highly recommend using this than paying for Cloud or Other online storage companies with monthly charges.
