I needed to replace a dying 1TB drive. This 2TB drive was easy to install, doubles my storage space, works well and does the job well.

Purchased this drive to house my video, pictures and music and it has done an outstanding job. Quiet and efficient, may buy another one.

For the price this is a nice drive, obviously not SSD quick, but not SSD expensive either. For the performance/size you get, its a good deal.

After being a computer tech for many years I have seen a lot of dead hard drives. Very few are Seagate. So reasonably priced and so fast;

This is a great HD for a new computer or adding a large storage to your existing PC. Its easy to install and comes with everything you need. Its a strong drive that takes a little time to get started the first time you access it for the first time that day; but runs smooth after. I store all non OS software and vid/pic on this drive. I don't have problems running or going through my files. When I bought it I got it for $80, you cant beat that price/size with a stick.

I purchased 4 of these from Best Buy in Feb of 2013 after Best Buy matched the price of an online retailer. By mid Dec, 2 drives had failed within 2 weeks of one another. Seagate replaced both drives with re-manufactured units. The warranty replacement process was easy but lengthy (3-4 weeks) if you are unwilling to offer Seagate your CC number for express service . FYI, the cost of shipping the defective unit to Seagate is not covered and units need to be returned as directed by Seagate (save your box and anti-static bag). My drives cost about $13 each to ship back for warranty replacement. To cover the gap in my RAID10 array, I purchased a new Seagate drive from Best Buy after the 1st drive failed . Best Buy again matched the price of this drive from an online retailer. The matching process was easy and will keep me coming back to Best Buy. No drives will last forever. Drive failure after 10 months is disappointing. I could have payed more for a drive with a longer warranty. For me, running a RAID10 set up helps cover any gaps these drives may have in reliability. Overall they are a good value.

My second hard drive was starting to fail. Picked this up at Best Buy for a reasonable price. This item was easy to install and I was quickly able to recover everything off the old drive. Overall pleased with seagate drives, they are relatively reliable and quiet. This drive is quiet, fast, and runs cool.

I purchased this Seagate 2TB SATA drive after the very disappointing failure of a Samsung 1TB (HD103UJ) drive. I have been very pleased with the performance, considering the reasonable price of the device. I also enjoy that the drive performs very quietly. I would definitely recommend Seagate drives.

I have several of these in a couple of different computers. Reliable storage for my use. I use ssd for os and applications, hdd for data storage.
