    Purchased this drive to replace one that had failed after about 1.5yrs in a Synology NAS. Unfortunately, it started developing SMART errors after about 3weeks of use. Luckily the RMA process is very simple via the Seagate website. On a side note 3of the 4 drives in the NAS have failed in under 2years. With this one failing twice. This model us approved by Synology for use in the NAS but I do not think they are designed for 24x7 use and enterprise drives would be better. I'm happy to get 2yrs out of the drive in this harsher environment.

    I put this hard drive in an iMac. Although a little more difficult to install than a pc, it was worth it. I will buy a seagate again.
