Installed as expected no problem installing into home NAS.

3 TB would be better or a minimum of 2TB 1TB is baseline

Fit great in my Home Theater PC. Quiet and does the job.

This drive was to replace my other 2TB drive that died. I used it for about a week and could not take vibrational hum any longer. I swapped in a WD black drive and using this Seagate just for backup.

Did not work took it back for a credit because the last few seagates did not last long I will be buying WD from now on

Very happy with Seagate drives that I have used in the past. Not the case with this one. The drive seems to vibrate on initial spin and seems to be more noisy that other drives that I currently use.

I bought it to use as exended storage in my set top box. Turned out it was not one of the few drives that would work with that box.

Bought it a few months ago for a project to restore my file server, but other projects have gotten in the way.

It works. BestBuy Fayetteville Never has a wide range of drives or any other computer components.

This drive was convenient to purchase since it was in stock at the store, and I mainly use it for data that I could easily replace. I don't plan on relying on this drive for anything critical as it clicks alot while processing I/O, which is probably ok, but still makes me nervious that I can hear it from this drive, while my other drives are basically silent.

This was a quick purchase to fix my old run down outdated computer.

bad performance, overheating, stop working after few months

Purchased on 7-Jan-2017 and on 05-March 2017, turned on the PC and this drive setup as "D" drive was no longer available. Turned off PC, checked connections, tried different SATA ports/cables and tried it in a different PC but the drive will not power on. I then put the older WD 500 GB drive that this Seagate 2TB drive was purchased to replace back in the same slot that the new drive was in and the older WD 500 GB works perfectly. So lesson learned is not to purchase Seagate hard drives.

After four months this hard drive failed, it stopped receiving power. I rested other sata devices and they all receive power from the same cables. Also tested this hard drive on a different system and had the same issue. It doesn't receive power. It failed suddenly with no warning. I got this to upgrade from a wd black 500GB drive. I will never buy seagate again, going back to WD

This is my third seagate 2tb drive that is replacing other failed 2tb seagates. All these within a year.

Usually purchase Western Digital. Tried Seagate (heard it was more stable for commercial use), DEAD OUT THED BOX. Returned to Best Buy-Hassle Free exchange for Western Digital

It Worked for Less than 2 months. Ir does not work, and Beat buy gives me no warranty because more than 15 days have passed. Kind of disposable.

I returned it before I used it. It did not come with the power cables it said it had on the box. It also said it had the cables on line.

After about 5 years, my iMac suddenly crashed, and the drive started making an evil "ka-chunk-ka-chunk" sound. No great mystery what the problem was. I used the opportunity to install a larger drive. I chose this one because of the excellent price and good reviews. It's twice the size of the original, which allows me to consolidate all my music and movies back onto the main drive from the external drive I'd been using. The system restored from a Time Machine backup without incident, and I then copied over all the media files. Everything seems to be functioning fine. Of course, only time will tell how long it lasts, but so far, so good.
