I was only going to get the 1 TB hard drive, but then I saw the the 2 TB hard drive was only 20 buck more. It was a deal I couldn't pass up. Gives me more than enough storage.

Have only had the drive for a few weeks but so far it is excellent. Easily installed and set up. Using it for backup media currently. Hopefully it will hold up for a long time.

The drive is easy to install, it is fast and it performs to its specifications. There are better choices for use in a server but cost about 50% more.

I needed more storage for my backups and images and this drive does the job reliably.I can use the included software or just use Windows software.Great customer service,too.

I got this on sale, which means I got a reasonable price (but not a great one). I bought this to put in a TiVo Roamio, to replace the stock 500GB drive, which just wasn't enough storage. 2TB is perfect for this use. My only complaint is that it's a little bit louder than the stock drive that it replaced. But the stock drive was 5900rpm, not 7200. This drive is certainly faster that what it replaced. I would recommend this drive for all consumer mass storage purposes. I've been buying the Seagate Barracuda line for quite a while and have always had good luck.

Great specs. Installed easily using built-in Windows utilities to format and partition. For less technically oriented, there is Seagate software to lead you through the process.

If you are looking for lots of disc drive storage space, look no further. Massive 2TB will hold tons of files and then tons more. This drive is very easy to install and comes with everything needed. Takes about 15 minutes to install and format. Works great and super fast data transfer rates too.

I bought this harddrive for a camera system. It has plenty of room for recording and I can save the video for a longer period of time before I have to overwrite it.

Bought this when it was on sale. So far doesn't have any issues, fit right in no problem. I'm split between Seagate and WD. To me they are both great products.

This was a simple plug and format process to replace another manufacturers hard drive. I was up and running in less then ten minutes and with better performance.

I replaced a failed 6 year old 500GB data drive with this 2 Terabyte drive. It gave me much more capacity and better performance than the original drive. My HP XW8200 Workstation BIOS doesn't recognize a drive larger than 2 Terabytes, so this was the perfect replacement drive.

Dang yea this is one good hard drive. 2tb lots of space for a good enough price. I'll tell you what, it's not an ssd or a 10,000 rpm drive, but it is good.

These drives are being used in a WD MYCLOUD NAS and they were easy to setup and more important VERY FAST! Ask me about the durability in about 5 years.

Not much to say, I needed a replacement 2GB drive for my home server, and I chose this one. It has been running flawlessly since I purchased it.

Works great and I trust sea gate products. I own a lot of their products such as hard drives, external hard drives, etc. they work beautifully.

i always used WD after 3 or more fails with critical data without warning i stop using WD, also few ones that works to recover data are not so good, now i just use seagate, working efficiently, works not to hot like wd, barely fails, easy to recover in case data loss, i know before seagate was a pain, but now i dont use WD no more, also the prices on seagates HD are excellents

I got this to expand a Bootcamp drive in a 2009-era Mac Pro. Apple makes it really easy to swap the hardware out. With a little help from some software like Winclone (sold separately), I was back up and running with much more space for my Windows 7 installation. I usually go with Western Digital for HD replacements/upgrades, but Seagate beat out their price for the same 2GB capacity.
