After searching for the best method to consolidate my photos and videos I came across this 5 TB HD. It is user friendly and gets the job done. I’ve had it for over 5 months with no issues. And storage space is great, after transferring most of my items I’m not even halfway full.

There’s just no beating the value on how much storage this gives you. Perfect for storing movies, pictures, anything you can think of really so long as it’s not something that’ll require fast memory speeds like modern gaming.

Solid amount of storage, bought it for my dinky laptop so I could fill it with games and I've barely made a dent in the storage. The cord connecting the device to my laptop can be a bit finicky (nudging it occasionally disconnects the device), but that's on my menace of a cat and his personal issues.

Always love Seagate and their hard drives - very reliable and if anything goes wrong, they’re more than willing to replace and extract files if it falls within the allotted time.

I use this external hard drive to store and play over 80,000 songs . I've had no problems, the hard drive is very fast and consistent and is in use all the time.

Works well, never had an issue with any of their high capacity hard drives.

I bought this to replace a smaller Seagate as a backup to my Dell Optiplex Desktop (Win11 Pro 64-bit). Disconnected the 'old' Seagate and plugged in the new one. While the Dell 'saw' the new unit in "my computer", Windows Backup kept reporting Backup failures. I could not get the new Seagate to come up as a backup drive location. Resident on these Seagate drives is the Seagate app. After several hours of trying to 'add a drive' and every other solution offered online, I decided to just format the new Seagate. That did the trick, Windows backup not only saw the drive, but showed it as a backup location and was now ready to go. I went through Windows Backup to select what I wanted to back up. It took awhile for all 183 Gb (I backed up my entire C drive), but the backup was successful. This 5TB drive should allow me to store about 6 months or so of weekly backups, but I plan to revise my backup selections once I am positive Windows Backup is working. I gave this 4 stars only because of the install issues.

Great External Hard Drive. I use it for my heavy workload and 5 TB has equipped me with more than enough to rotate files.

I had to figure out how to format it for Mac and it took me a little bit, but it works well. My 5TB harddrive from WD messed up and I lost the most precious files and could never recover. That's why I switched to Seagate. LEt's hope it continues to work well. If not, I'll update this review.
