Able to use right out the box. Intuitive and required no need to review instructions before operations. Ample storage from old laptop with plenty of free storage remaining.

The unit is very easy to set up with a computer. It was nearly what I would call a plug and play.

The Geek associate who assisted me with my problem and, ultimately, the choice and buy of the cd replacement drive and back up system was top ranked. Impressed with his knowledge, concern and speedy response, I followed his recommendations and purchased accordingly. The cd drive and back up system have been put into play. The cd drive works fine and, without having tested it, I believe the back system is working well.

I bought it to replace my Passport external disk drive. It works perfectly with my Mac Air.

I needed a large memory to store movies. I have 300 movies on there so far and have more than half of the space still free. Great for when traveling to play movies on my laptop!

Used to use flash drives to back up but never enough capacity especially when a person has a huge amount of pictures to back up. Learned a very important lesson to always back up. In the past lost about a years worth of pictures after hard drive crashed. Used flash drives after used CDs

This is super easy to use and it holds a LOT! I store a lot of photos and also my cd's. I use it to back up my desktop. Small enough to take with you.

I bought this portable hard drive to transfer all my data from one computer to another and worked great! Plus saved 3 computers info and still have space. Would recommend.

I used it as a media player for my Xbox one and other devices. You could also use it as a Xbox hard drive only, if you format as so. No issues. Great little hard drive.

This drive is easy to use for a beginner and portable. I personally lose items easily and this drive is a perfect size not to get lost, yet not too big tat is is cumbersome.

I bought this for my 12 year old son and he was able to set it up and use it with is gaming computer. I purchased this on sale, 1TB of extra storage for around $70 was a deal!

I needed some thing to back up my computer. This has lots of storage on it. So I can back up things on my other computer too. It also puts a icon on your desk top so it easy to access it. I would recommend this to any one. You need to back up your pc incase your computer crashes.

We travel a lot and hate dragging our CDs with us. So we bought external drive for that purpose. It is easy to use and has lots of space.

Bought this item few months ago. And this is my 3rd time buying this brand, works great

The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that I haven't had it long enough! I bought it to replace another back-up drive that was showing signs of failing. As far as I can tell it works fine. The only shortcoming I'd say is that it only came with a USB interface; it would have been nice if it had had firewire 800 too. I don't use any of the supplied software -- no need. It's used with a couple of Mac's.
