I have purchased Seagate hard drives over any other brand for years now due to there superior quality. I am very please with this drive, it provides a lot of capacity for a small purchase price. If you are looking for a lot of band for your buck...look no further.

Purchased as backup storage for a new laptop. I just plugged it in and it worked with no hesitation. Performance is perfectly adequate for what I need. Highly recommended.

I haven't purchased a portable hard drive in several years and was surprised at how much they have shrunk and increased in speed. I was able to download my entire computer, prior to send it in to the Geek Squad in less than 20 min, almost filling the entire TB. Should have gotten the larger one instead.

Geez, external hard drives have come along way in just 3 years. I bought this to replace a WD MyBook for my Time Machine backups. So much faster and more efficient. Amazing that you don't need an external power supply anymore. Just uses the power from USB. Awesome

Easy to set up. Just plug and play. Perfect. I needed an external backup to store pictures and this worked perfect. 6000 pictures and only at 20% capacity.

I bought this to back up Windows, before switching to Linux. I now do my Linux backups on it, plus I've saved my videos and pix, and have plenty of room on the 1TB drive.

My daughter needed a large drive for storage of College class data under Linux. Her project files are too large for USB Flash since they involve video and CGI animation. This drive offered decent storage space and known performance.

Looks great and works great. Gave one more as a Christmas gift to friend.

I bought this product to provide portable external and back up storage for my IMac 21.5". Works well at providing automatic backup for pictures and video taken on my IPhone. The fact that I did not give the product a "5" rating probably reflects my lack of computer skills as I needed to get help reformatting the hard drive in order to have it automatically sych with my IPhone.

I was running out of disk space from another external hard drive. The employees at Best Buy are the best - very helpful. This was on sale and perfect for what I need. I would definitely buy another one,
