I use the Seagate Backup Plus to backup my PC and laptop. I have only used the backup routine once but plan to do backups once a month. There should be plenty of space available for future backups

Ok this is the re-review of this Seagate back up plus. As you can recall from my first review of this item, I took the original back and instead of refunding my currency I opted to just grab another one which worked when I got it home. The first one just made noises when I plugged it up to my laptop and wouldn't autorun. It is very small able to be ported around with no problem. I didn't give this 5 stars because I can't dump to it wirelessly, which in this day and age is what its all about, but I guess they have other models that you can connect to a Wi-Fi network and dump and retrieve wirelessly. I will try one of those next.

Purchased for my wife to replace her old portable hard drive which had gotten flaky. The usb 3.0 thruput is only limited by inherent speed limits of energy efficient design laptop style hard drives.

the only problem I had with this was formatting with my Apple. this is not a best buy issue though it is one of those frustrating Apple problems. after uploading all the files it didn't work on the Apple so everything had to be erased and then my husband started over and re-uploaded it

Compact and powerful device. Reasonably priced for the amount of storage provided.

If your on the go and need to take a lot of stuff with you this is great. Plenty of storage and portable

I been using Seagate hard drives for a long time, like the size, how reliable they work and never had issues with them.

Yes, this back up drive by Seagate is simple, user friendly, and surprisingly rugged to boot. Plus in, install the software and be amazed by the simplistic, easy to navigate interface. Gives you plenty of options that match up with your level of expertise (or lack thereof, in my case) and you're off and running. I even dropped it from about three (3) feet off the ground (knocked it off the desk) and it held up with no issues. Highly recommend.

Easy to format for use on PC and Mac. A lot of storage. Use it for back up of my main hard drive.

I am pleased with this small in size but large capacity external drive. I used it to back up all my files.

Nice hard drive. Very compact and portable. Doesn't require AC adapter like older models. Plug and go.

This thing works better than the WD I have. It is small, light, feels more rigid and makes less noise.

I've owned several external drives from different brands over the years and so far, Seagate has been the most reliable brand. I know all hard drives have the potential to fail, they're intricate man-made devices that move really fast, but Seagate has been the one to not give me any issues to date. This is the second one I buy, the first one I use for full desktop back ups, while the second is used as a huge usb drive to drag and drop items into.

Small but lots of storage. We have several other storage systems but this one is by far the most compact.

Perfect for backing up pc and mac running one fr my pc and run with tie machine also very affordable
