I use this external drive to back up pictures and music. When I first got it, I thought I would have to wait a long time to back up years and years of pictures, but it was really fast.

I bought this drive to transfer files from my old PC to my new Mac, a task it performed quickly and easily. Now it serves as a Time Machine backup drive, and I'm quite happy with it.

I needed to transfer some files from friend's MacBook Pro to my PC. A direct computer to computer xfer didn't work, so I bought this drive thinking I would have to have data taken off it and then reinstalled after formatting the drive for a PC. That was going to cost me $100. Instead, the Mac files went right on this drive, and then right back out to my PC! Delighted to save so much money and now have a drive that will get Mac files for me easily!

This is a great external hard drive for traveling as it's very thin and compact, perfect for throwing into the laptop bag without any extra bulge. The drive enclosure seems well built without any excess material. Drive speed is fast enough for me to transfer large files to/from my computer or edit photos and videos right off the drive. Seagate has fared well for me in the past, so I have confidence in this drive.

Has SSUSB connection, just plug in and drag and drop files, music, photos or copy an paste. I also use it for backing up my computers using backup software. It does a great job. the only thing that needs is a longer cable, the one supplied is way to short but works.

My only problem with hard drives is when they crash after a year or so. When new they all work well. I have a collection of broken ones and so far this one is working well- but I'll back this up too! Any suggestions as what to do with backing up back ups let me know!
