    I got it from Geek Squad when they recovered data from my wife's failed laptop HDD. I immediately dumped the data onto my desktop system that *is* backed up regularly :) It's pretty fast, USB 3.0 helps of course. It's also quiet, light, and compact. In fact you might have problems getting it to lay flat because the bends in the cable might just lift up one end of the drive. Don't know about reliability, haven't had it long enough.
