This thing seems to sort of maybe possibly work and function in a manner not inconsistent with the functionality expected by a reasonable buyer all things considered carefully with all due cons8deration for the necessity of padding out to a full fifty word review. Also! After further careful review it becomes clear that a sensible product evaluation would include a rating on an industry - accepted scale, so three hats off. And maybe around 12 clogs and a besplid for a durability score.

I use these drives, reformatted to Mac OS, while traveling to backup original 4K video files. I then transcode to prores on a Lacie Rugged Thunderbolt portable. I would not recommend editing from the drive but as an archive for the original files, they are excellent.

Did all it is supposed to do. The software installed instantly and has been working flawlessly.

The hard drive is not heavy unlike some. Easy to do a backup by using the software.

Easy to set up. Just go ahead and install the software, plug in the drive, tell it to back up and you're ready to go. It won't set you back that much money either it has a very reasonable price tag for the size and what it does.

Works really well. Very quiet and comes with a nice dashboard feature that simplifies the back ups.

Nice for back up drive. Uses both USB 2 and USB 3, do works on variety computers.

Was able to successfully reformat it to work with my Linux OS. Very fast read/write with USB 3.0.

Initially I purchased a Passport, but returned it the same weekend. The Seagate interface is so much easier to operate and understand. Accommodated my backup needs better as well. The Seagate backup is faster and the graphics that illustrate progress are more accurate.

I previously used Carbonite, but it was really slowing down my computer. I switched to the Seagate backup, and now my computer is no longer bogged down with the online backup. I am really happy with this product. I just plugged it in, answered one question, and it is working!

I have used Seagate hard drives almost exclusively for more than 20 years. This external drive worked perfectly out of the box, as advertised. I've never had a failure with Seagate drives. I usually retire them after 5 or 6 years. I expect the same with this drive.

This drive installed easily (recognized by windows upon plugging into USB) and setup quickly. In my first attempt to backup files, it copied about half of the different folders and stopped the rest. I left if overnight since it was estimated at several hours, so tried again with remaining files in the morning and it worked fine.

I got it on time. It was what I expected. It worked great with my sate hard drive from my laptop.

This is a reliable external hard drive which can also back up mobile devices as well, as long as you have this hooked to a computer that is on the same wifi network as your other devices. I have had no problems at all, very reliable and I am very satisfied with the device.

This product is a great value. It functions exactly as advertised and I love the large capacity
