Great back-up device

Only regret is I should have purchased the next size up, 2TB? I will wait for the price to drop, as they always do, than I will have another back-up. :>)

I have both my PC and laptop backed up on the same drive. Additionally, you can use the Seagate Hard Drive to store and transfer files from one computer to another without the worry of running out of space.

Purchased for Mother in law so ease of use matters

It was important to me to get one that was pretty easy to use and figure out. She was off and running with it in what seemed like minutes. As far as external hard drives go this one delivered everything I was hoping for and cut down on my "Family IT service" that I seemingly always get pulled in to.

To get this I had to run the setup.exe. However, because of a downed server at Seagate, I could not download. After several attempts to download from their site failed I sent an email to Seagate. They responded within 12 hours with instructions. It all worked out okay but it was a hassle.
